In plain English, d100 is a 100-sided die, while a d6 is a six-sided die. The changes being proposed here - and any changes to the classes, in fact - alter the way we play the game. It would not, however, alter how we roleplay. There would be a period of adjustment, and we would have to alter how we...

I'd also like to add that by level 25 (which is, in essence, JEDI's "endgame"), you've practically got enough XP to buy every power. Most of us are at a stage where we have to pick and choose our templates carefully, but XP eventually begins to pile up and any notion of specialisation is n...

Akalenn received training in Soresu, Ataru and Djem So/Shien as part of his study of Niman as a Padawan. His favoured form is Niman, although he draws on elements of Forms III and V as the situation requires.

One of the first things any Initiate is taught is how to hold a lightsaber properly, and for most of your training you'd be expected to hold it the way you've been instructed. Once you reach the stage of building your own lightsaber, you're also at the stage of developing your own personal style. Yo...

I'll echo Alkur's thoughts on the matter. On a related note, in the current version of RPMod, emotes are specified in an external text file which makes adding new ones very easy. Non-JEDI clans/groups would be free to implement extra stances as emotes to their hearts content.

Yeah, I just run JKA from the Steam library and a dialogue box will appear with a choice of single-player or multiplayer, much like the launcher of old. If you want to run other mods, just change the command line to point the relevant mod directory (MB2, japlus, etc).

I run JKA via Steam and RPMod runs just fine. The only "problem", if you can call it that, is due to the way JKA's separate SP and MP executables are handled. Basically, a separate shortcut for RPMod doesn't work because Steam automatically launches SP. To get RPMod to work with Steam, ins...

My favourite so far is Blavek's second effort (the all black one). Individual units can still have their own insignia, but for a unified Coalition logo, that combination of the GA and Commonwealth logos is perfect. It's clear, easily identifiable and attractive. That's not to say the other attempts ...

I started with books. I was quite an avid reader when I was younger, working my way through the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and then amassing a large collection of Star Trek novels (but no Star Wars!). I also enjoyed creative writing, so when I made my first foray into the world of internet forums, I ha...

Perhaps the soothing tones of a dial-up modem? :P

On a slightly more serious note, the chime used for /rpinfoitem (or /rpnotify, to be more precise) would do the trick.

Widescreen Mode

At the moment, when running JKA at a widescreen resolution, 2D UI elements (the health/ammo bars, crosshair, menus etc) are stretched. The intro movies also don't display, although you can still hear them. While not game-breaking, it's not particularly pretty and the broken intro videos no doubt aff...
