Should be possible, you can deactivate the shield with the use key and place it again just as if you picked it up and placed it down somewhere else. This is possible as far as I know.

/serverstatus is the command you are looking for. It shows everyone in the server but not who is spectating and who is ingame.

This looks pretty interesting. I mean, you could probably change a few settings around to make it look a bit more clean but if it can be adapted to multiplayer then it would be a good addition.

And have you restarted your computer each time? Maybe tried running them in compatibility with XP Service Pack 2 or 3? Sometimes it can be a registry error which requires you to restart in order to load the new set of keys, or it could be a compatibility error.

Have you tried reinstalling it completely? Save all the PK3s you need, remove it and reinstall, then add them back and check if that works for you.
