Honestly, yes. It's completely unnecessary. You don't even need to create seperate cfg files for a power change - it can be done by utilizing a simple key bind. It'd be great if we could change the height at which we step up onto something, so that we don't jump up on top of benches/chairs/tables when walking up to them.
