Re: New force powers
That's the thing about adding Force Powers. Most of the time when it's come up in talks between members and myself they start to mention powers that are pretty rare or not generally accepted and in all likelihood not be added if there were ever to be a shuffle or change in the Force abilities. At t...

Just pointing out, there's an available emote connected to one or two levels of mind trick already.

Re: New force powers
The idea of your regen rate increasing while meditating holds a fair amount of appeal... And also destroys the idea of Force Meld. Well, Force Meld can be used on the go, meditation less so. You could still expect someone to roleplay the extra focus when they just suddenly sit down, as to prevent r...

Re: Name Colors
Dark green all the way for me. Now for a politically doubtful statement: I don't like the brown. In all seriousness, I really don't. I don't think it fits well with too many other colors, while a dark green goes with a lot. Note that the colors Tergos listed are restricted in hue because they are in...

Re: Name Colors
Yeah, it was a typo. How about exchanging brown for a lighter green, possibly darker? I'm not certain. Suggestions anyone? Unless everyone likes brown? I believe that making it even lighter will officially make the programmer liable for eyesight damage. I like brown, but I'd prefer a darker g...

Re: Name Colors
Oberon, I believe negative subjective comments on someone else's posts are not at all relevant, and I find it offensive.
That said, is it worth the trouble to code? As far as I can see, everyone has a personal color scheme they can work with

Re: Name Colors
Well, that's not entirely true if you account for a potential 10 seperate colours of which you might use four in a unique scheme should you wish to (6561 combinations), but I do get the point. Orange would be a great addition, as would purple.

See if there's any other processes running and taking up memory in a substantial way in task manager, all I can think of.

Re: Force Speed FP Cost
I personally feel it should be something more like this: Speed level 1 - 50FP 3 seconds duration 20% speed boost Speed level 2 - 50FP 6 seconds duration 40% speed boost Speed level 3 - 50FP 15 seconds duration 60% speed boost Speed level 4 - 40FP 25 seconds duration 80% speed boost Speed level 5 - ...

Re: Force Speed FP Cost
One or the other. An increase in duration next to a decrease in cost as you propose, is imbalanced at its core. Perhaps a cost reduction is warranted towards level four and five, but not before. As Alehk said, issue with powers in rapid succession.

Re: Idle/AFK Indication
I am mostly with Skrassk on this one.
I've had times where I had to go AFK, simply told the people involved. As long as others keep doing the same, it shouldn't warrant the need of a seperate command, I think.

I think that's impossible with the engine's build, but certainty should come from Alehk or Soh.

Re: Idle/AFK Indication
Issue is, it's useful perhaps in active classes, rather than waiting for people all the time. But AFK effects are usually triggered by lack of movement in the three-dimensional space, rather than turning on the spot or not chatting. Although I think the idea ON ITS OWN is a nice one, considering it ...

Re: Holonet/Comport.
That's how it was before we changed the clock yesterday, but now its synched to Europe non-DST on a USA timescale. Which means the clock is on gmt-5 currently, without DST. It gets us a five hour difference between GMT+0 and server time as it currently stands, which is the normal, case of affairs. On...

Re: Holonet/Comport.
As always, it's the automatic summertime adjustment which is based in the US, rather than Europe, where most of our action is coming from. Usually, we only have two weeks of such time difference, but it's extended up to three weeks this year around, as DST commenced on March 10th in the USA. As far ...
