Re: JKA on OSX
Oh, I have a PC. I'm just triple-booting with OSX, Windows 8, and Arch Linux. It's not of critical (or really any) importance that I get JKA working on OSX (it in fact does work, just not connecting to the ::JEDI:: server), it would just be nice to not have to reboot into a different OS if I wanted ...

Re: JKA on OSX
Methinks linux may just trump all yet again. Thanks for the help guys, but looks like OSX won't be a viable option for playing a 10-year-old gameIllrian Damaris wrote:sadly this Steam option has this error...so this is a must if you're going to use what you're using.

Re: JKA on OSX
Well I installed the Jedi Knight pack via steam (Dark Forces 1&2 anyone?), and yes the problem exists that I can't connect because I don't have all of the files the server has. Any chance someone could point me to a list of those files so I could download them? Hopefully then I'll be able to con...

Re: JKA on OSX
Point taken.
Real reason is just so that regardless of what OS I happened to be booted into, quickly hopping into the server won't be a problem. The app store and steam is a good lead, I'll see what I can get.

JKA on OSX
Hey guys, I recently got OSX up and running on my PC (hackintosh ftw), and would really like to be able to play jka, but as it's OSX Mountain Lion on an Intel processor and JKA was released for the PowerPC macs, I'm finding this to be a bit more difficult than anticipated. Any other intel mac jka'er...

Re: Disney Buys Lucasfilm
I loved his Star Trek film, but I know/knew absolutely nothing else about Star Trek. In my opinion, if the biggest fault in your adaptation of a movie is that it doesn't line up perfectly with pre-established canon... you've done a pretty good job. This is how I felt about the Hobbit and the Marvel ...

Re: Wallpapers
Speaking of wallpapers... I was just wondering where I could get a copy of the current background when you go to the website and the video is posted. The planet+space montage, I mean. Anyone know?

((A quick question about this... Is it close enough to the Temple that we can go back and forth between the two, or do we need to "pick one and stay there", so to speak?))

It happens to me whenever I log in. I have my "l" key bound to log me in, and that's it. It doesn't matter if i log in while in spectator, right after I join, or a minute after I join, my name changes to Padawan 95% of the time.

Re: Disney Buys Lucasfilm
I just remembered that Disney and Marvel used Joss Whedon for the Avengers, so maybe we'll get lucky for Star Wars..? God would that be amazing. That's why I'm excited. I mean, before this, all we had was George Lucas who considers the prequel trilogy to be far superior to the original trilogy. Who...
