283.31 // A personal note

Dear friends and family, For those of you who were not aware, there is currently an ongoing dispute over intellectual property, assets, and other materials relating to the Official JEDI clan. A few Senior members, who will not be named here, took it upon themselves to bypass an ongoing negotiation t...

Greetings, Those of you who know me best know that, whether I was around the corner or seemingly gone from sight, I was never completely out of reach. I have always lent my time to anyone who needed to be heard or who came seeking another perspective on their troubles. I have always advocated for un...

JEDI has a mod section in its hosting department. Host it there. For some reason I don't have access to that particular root when I'm skimming through the PHPFileNavigator. I might have to pester someone about it soon, because that would be a nice place to have a copy uploaded for long term storage...

Coren,

Being the guy who made it I, quite naturally, still have it. I don't have anywhere to host it at the moment, but the file is quite tiny. Hit me up over MSN and I'll gladly send it you way.

Greetings everyone, There isn't much that needs to be said here, and so I'll try to keep it brief. Being asked to serve as a Council Advisor is a great opportunity to engage in the process of exchanging ideas and thoughts for the benefit of our community. I hope that the addition of my perspective w...

For levels 4-5, there is already a range increase. In addition to that, names hover above the heads of those you can see. So when viewing through a wall, etc, you know exactly who it is. I was aware of the nametag displaying at those levels, but I wasn't sure if a range increase was also included. ...

Additional Range for Sense 3+ (Without LOS)

I took a look around and I didn't spot any prior posts on this exact subject, so I thought this might be interesting to note. I was fiddling with Sense 2/3 to locate targets through walls and it seems to me like these two levels have the exact same range when they are used in this specific way. I kn...

Just to put an end to the debate, yes, MonCals can drown according to easily located sources. They could also descend to depths of up to 30 meters below sea level without breathing, though they found it uncomfortable and often used organic gills. Mon Calamari could stay underwater for a long period ...

Regarding Axem Keigoku

Dear ::JEDI:: Members, It can sometimes be difficult to separate fact from fiction and come to terms with unexpected changes. Bearing this in mind I have been asked to provide an explanation that will hopefully allay any concerns that you may have based on the recent events surrounding Master Axem K...

If there's a way to differentiate between the manually invoked Emote and the actual chatmode/emote, then I'd be all for that.

I'd prefer for it not to loop when you're actually sending messages, but I agree that it would be nice to have the option to idle-loop it.

All of Alk's suggestions and Soh's responses sound great to me. I think if I had to pick between randomization and client-side config for the chat-anim, I'd prefer client side settings. Personally I like seeing the animation frequently, but I can see how some might find it irritating or inappropriate.

Semantics aside, I think that a secondary account type for recognized visitors is a good solution.

This way they can participate, but they're not given anything they wouldn't ordinarily have anyway.
