Re: Multi-language Character

And man, thanks for providing the formula for languages. Since I was set to play a Chistori before, I must have glossed over that section when I read the rules. I appreciate you all pointing it out, thanks!

Hope that I'll get the chance to come in and keep up the hopeful thing again.

Multi-language Character

A lright, so I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had the chance to introduce the Wookiee character I want to try out. Not sure if I'll get the chance anyway, as major life changes may occur within the next few weeks. However, just in case, I at least wanted to know ahead of time...

I s there ...

Re: Emote Mapping

Alternatively, if you use the command /bind <key> without providing a command, it will tell you if and what command/bind is attributed to that key.

Example:

/bind END

...will tell you what is bound to your [End] key.

Emote Mapping/Bind Tutorial

T he formula has already been provided by Sebastin, but you can always add a few extras too if you want! For example, for my emote binds, I also add an echo command so that it'll tell me if I attempt to perform an emote--or will simply remind me what emote I've activated (the echo command sends a ...

Re: Character Creation Questions

H ey, thank all of you for the replies. I'm very much beginning to feel a part of the community already! I think I've decided to settle on playing a Chistori after all--I've already put the basic work in, and even though there are two already, personality differences will hopefully separate the ...

Re: Character Creation Questions

I very much appreciate that response, Tergos, it definitely gives me confidence in being able to explain the character better, as well as confidence in creating a character that is unique, playable based on my personality and play-style, and acceptable by ::JEDI:: standards.

M y messages to the ...

Re: Character Creation Questions

F irst off, darn, haha.

O therwise, cheers for sharing a very true and valid point! I wish I could say "I'm gonna make a human right now!" as well, but from a background multi-paragraph role-playing as a Minotaur in a fantasy setting, to role-playing mutants and monsters in superhero games, I've ...

Character Creation Questions

S o as I wander about waiting for a return communication from the Council Secretary Droid on my character Gorrak's background, I took some time to further observe the role-playing that goes on and read the biographies available from the Residents section of the site--and, as an aside, those were ...

Re: Youngling Model/skin work

I was actually considering making a wookiee rather than a chistori character when I decided to try and join up. I always thought they'd wear either the big brown cloak and nothing else besides a utility belt or bandolier, or maybe just a lower robe portion like a skirt or something.

Re: Youngling Model/skin work

H eh, my advice is keep having fun! That's some great work your doing! More Options are always better than Fewer Options, after all--variety is the spice of life!

A nd that youngling wookiee--haha! He's so stubby and adorable! But in all seriousness, that's some great looking Blender work, keep ...

A Hopeful Introductions

(( H ullo! I'm Bernard, been role-playing for about ten years in everything ranging from multi-paragraph fantasy-setting chatrooms to superhero MMOs! During my JKA days I considered trying out for ::Jedi::, but was intimidated by the official nature of everything. Now that I've gained a decade of ...
