Greetings, students,

It occurs to me that I had intended to create and run a student tournament and hadn't quite gotten around to it, what with the events surrounding Rannon. Now that I have returned to my duties full-time, I would like to resurrect the idea, and therefore wish to offer a class that will prepare you for the various challenges that will be put on offer.

I should observe that this will be a multi-layered tournament, not simply a series of lightsaber duels: there will be challenges for everyone to complete that focus on a broad series of disciplines. Examples include:

• Timed Jump Courses
• Weapons Defense (Lightsaber and Ranged)
• Co-operative Force Use
• Team Free-For-All in simulated conditions
• Speeder Racing
• Stealth Infiltration
• Lightsaber Duels
• And many others...

There will, as such, be opportunity for every student to participate and potentially excel - some events will be scored based on time, others on success meeting certain criteria, and even some that will be based on team performance. As such, simply being the best duelist in the Enclave will not necessarily bring you victory, because a wide-range of skills will be assessed and scored accordingly. Thus, even our newest Initiates will have some chance to prevail.

In light of this, our next class will focus on preparing you for some of the challenges in question, and give you opportunity to ask some questions, decide on possible team combinations for the group challenges, and practice some of the lesser-used skills that are likely to come up.

Please bear in mind that the tournament is still being put together, so if anyone has any particular ideas for fresh challenges that I might not have considered, please do let me know, and I'll see about incorporating them if I think they'll work well. That particularly holds true for the Knights and Masters of the Enclave - do feel free to join me in whipping up something truly special!

Do, of course, note that the tournament itself will take place over a series of weeks: there'll likely be multiple instances of each challenge being held, so as to guarantee that every student has a chance to take part if they so wish. We'll discuss this more during the class.

Hello, everyone.

I'm happy to say that I'll be rescheduling this class for 395.04, at 1630hrs GST. Hopefully that will give more of you a chance to attend. Stay tuned for updates - I'm thinking to run a few different simulations to give you a sense of the sort of things we are planning to do with the upcoming Tournament.
