Drain(slow) lvl 4 and 5

I got an idea for level 4 and 5 for the drain power. why not make it an all around drain? so instead of having the drain like lightning where it shoots out of your hand just have it come from the persons torso. and would there be a way to set it up so it only drains enemies and not allies? cause that would make it much better
Level 4 can have the same distance as 3 and 5 can have 30% greater distance.
