Training Remote

Post by Sared Kilvan »

Can we adjust the training remotes so that they move in a 90-degree arc in front of the player?

I support, it's a brilliant idea and saves you having to rotate to keep it in your sights.

I find it more challenging the way it is currently. ;)

I'd have to agree. The way it is now makes it a little more challenging, which is what you should go for. It's not like it's a huge challenge, but it adds a little twist to it.

I believe having any blaster fire coming your way when you have zero XP will be "challenging".

I'd like to see the training drone expanded a bit.

From a RP and gameplay view, I think having a remote float predictable circles around your head is pedantic and silly.

I would love to see it expanded. Perhaps have it spawn like a regular remote NPC, but only targeting you?

There is a remote NPC, but it shoots big E-11 bolts instead of the item remote's small yellow ones. But that may simply be a matter of editing the NPC files.

I think the smoothest alternative to the "inward shooting item remote drone" would be to make a NPC vehicle remote drone. I'll talk to Greg about it this weekend.

That could just be fixed via damagescale right?

Nope - the bolts fired are dependent on the weapon type they're configured to, same as the Vehicles - you could make an X-Wing fire TIE blasters if you really wanted to. The NPC remote is configured that same way.

Also, if we DO change the remote (the NPC version as well as the item version), could we possibly remove the timer, so it doesn't despawn after 15-20 seconds?

By Sared.

I support his idea, cause if you look at the Star Wars movies, the drone is flying around the learner making some 'suspens' , It can move upper or can change direction suddenly, so it would be cool to get it this way. :D
