Good idea, Vantus, and I'm sure it'd be easy to do. Hopefully, that is. Cha, I agree as well.
Yah, and Gabe is stupid!

I think this would help us express our unique personalities better. I love the idea!

Re: Alkurs comment -
this isn't possible because it requires changing the way the animations work and also writing animations.
RPmod is a code based mod and we don't have anyone in JEDI who can actually write character animations.
I support adding the new sitting animations.
Name them emsit2, emsit3, emsit4

I know roughly how to make and write new animations, just don't have the time sadly to fit in learning it all properly.
I like this Vantus, nice find.

I actually think it would be *really* easy to add some animations that allow for switching between the two automatically (albeit without any animation in-between, making it rather glitchy). The animations.cfg file in _humanoid defines certain points in the .gla file (which is basically one LONG animations), and tells where to start and stop within the big animation to create the smaller animations, sort-of like scene selection in a dvd. The movie is one long thing, but scene selection just selects certain portions.
All you would have to do, I believe (as I made a few new animations while in Africa, it's REALLY easy), is just define some new animations that point to the actual sitting position, without any of the sitting-down or standing-up animations. With this, you could keep the regular sit animations, but also just have the freeze-frame animations, which could be switched between.
I *really* hope that made sense.

You'll have to make an account on the mt-wudan forums, but then after that, the link will link you to the dragon 0.9.1 page.

If we are going to make new animations then why not add a meditation levitation emote for the more experienced users of the force? It would be neat to walk into a chamber and see someone hovering off the ground ((Presuming they were not nine years old.)) I think it would be easy. Just add the meditation emote and raise the level of which they actually sit. call it emlevitate or something. Thoughts?

Yeah it is pretty much that, but you need an animation going into the levitating meditation, or else it would look quite odd.

I personally don't like idea of everyone floating around like gravity-defying buddhas.
Next we won't need to walk because we could all float around like Yoda in his Magic chair.
Floating is just not for me I guess. But extra poses or animations
that are already in JKA - heck yes.

Saw Jared do it once I think. He was sitting on a gonk or w/e that he made invisible I think.

Making new animations is harder than turning already existing animations into emotes. I mean, it's easy to make an animation, just time-consuming, especially if you want it done right.
