On a side note:
Does anybody know how to, or have any experience in using Blender for animation and modelling in JKA? I have a friend who's pretty decent at modelling and animating in Blender, and although I haven't asked him yet, I think I could convince him to help do something.

Nope, never used Blender.
I'm not actually sure you can implant animations from it into JA though either. I know you can animate it in, like you can with most modeling programs, but im not sure it can create .gla's etc for compling the animation.
Could be wrong though.

Even if you can't, wouldn't you be able to export it to something else such as 3DS Max and use that to export it as a .gla?

I'm not aware of a .gla export plugin for Max, so I doubt you could do that either.

Well what can you export with then? GMax? Cos I think that excepts Max files. (It's essentially a freeware version.)

I dont do animations in a modeling program, I do it in an animation program designed for JA called Dragon.

Also, is it possible to add an animation where you float as you meditate?
It seemed to be a common exercise based on books.

I know we want this implemented, but can we not necro-post in a year old thread?

*eh* Did it so people wouldn't ask about creating a new thread, when this one is about what I was wanting to discuss.
