If that's a problem, set the damage to be minimal, rather than a huge chunk of shield/HP.

You coward :p

I jest lol but yeh I agree that this ability could and most likely would be spammed and abused but that makes it no different from any other ability we have. Most abilities we currently have, have been or could be abused but hopefully we all have the maturity and sense not to do so.

I still think it would be a nice addition providing it's not a difficult job for Soh to do.

I doubt it'd be too difficult - Base JKA already incorporates that function into SP, when you use Push or Pull 3. Hell, Pull 3 is excellent for killing Stormies - stand near to a wall and pull them towards you, and SLAM. One dead stormie ;)

I don't think fairness would matter in an actual world where all of this would be possible. Those who focus all their training on something like telekinesis (Ergo for example) would be able to wipe the floor with just about anyone who hasn't had the right training to defend against. The whole push effect is countered simply by using absorb.

And it wouldn't be something that happens easily or even very common. You'd have to literally be slammed into a wall to encounter any real damage, just pushing someone backward (even with push5), and them landing on the ground wouldn' really do anything, unless you pushed them from up high and they landed down low.

The damage wouldn't incurred from the actual push itself, it would be incurred whenever any player for whatever reason finds themselves hitting a surface at a high speed. Grip, push, pull, those fancy little melee moves that throw you back. If you're moving fast and you hit a surface, it would hurt. No MAJOR damage, nothing like coming into contact with a saber blade. Just a small little -3hp or so. (Mega awesome cool version would have location-based damage ;) )

Perhaps damage dealt can work like falling from a great distance. With Jump 1, you receive a fair amount of damage when falling, and it decreases in damage until one reaches Levels 4 or 5 where there is no damage whatsoever, (unless one falls on their back, of course.) Maybe the amount of damage dealt could be based on the force of the Push as well as one's Jump (or some other) ability?

It would be most logical for me, if the regular rules for push/pull were still in place, being that if you have equal or great levels of push, you can repel an initial attack (at least I think it's the case... <,<....>,>....)

Jump would really come into play that much, however I do think that protect would have a great deal to do with it. The higher your level of protect, the lower the amount of damage you incur. Think of it as if you're about to be shoved into a wall, and you think "OH NOES! ::throws up a protective shield::" or something along those lines ;)

I agree...When sparring you (and getting the snot beat out of me) it would have been nice to get damage done when thrown into the wall or the ground cause i was jumping and you push and i went flying ABOVE the lasers adn did not die nor recieve Fall dmg :S So this would be a nice addition.
