And Azrael, I sort of play Blavek as a Consular-Guardian or have started to more recently. Though like Kael, his 'specified' class is a tactician blending the battle side with the smart side, hence CG.
Yes, thank you. I guess a big point to remember however is that, who are you competing against? (not you Phillip. General statement heh) What you need to remember is that base JKA multiplayer was about fighting other people on the server. In JEDI, we are supposed to be a team, fighting against randomly generated forces. So there shouldn't be any kind of competition between us.Phillip Braden wrote:The idea of losing the restrictions would make way for possible powergaming, keeping them adds more realism, but specialising in certain force powers depending on your class and path is a way around some of them as they can open up new alternatives.
That better?
The species system would, of course, have restrictions in place. If you reach level 2 in HP for example, you can't progress further in the FP until you reach level 15...Moreover, you won't have enough XP to purchase everything.Phillip Braden wrote:The idea of losing the restrictions would make way for possible powergaming, keeping them adds more realism, but specialising in certain force powers depending on your class and path is a way around some of them as they can open up new alternatives.

People can already do such things. BUT it is no different. You can't suddenly just use said abilities because there is no longer a system in place. You still need to justify your abilities with lots of RP progression towards mastering them regardless. If an ability seems out of place, the administration will step in and set it straight. As it is right now.Phillip Braden wrote:When it comes to certain classes and pathways for your jedi, i suggest RP'in the use of powers that are not available to use like:
::Uses battle meditation to boost the moral of his padawan:: the people affected could if known to them use fury to act this out.
::Creates a stasis field using force stasis(like kotor), freezing his opponent:: (Frozen person uses /rphologram 1).
::Uses force scream to stun his opponent with a loud sound::, the person being stunned would then use /emnoise to RP this.
I changed the subject slightly but you see my point?
I beg to differ. For the first 10 levels or so, I find it very easy to level up.Phillip Braden wrote:Bit like KOTOR with the skills things where you get so many points to use depending on your intelligence.
like 15 intelligence gives +3 more points for skills
15 constitution gives +3 more for force powers
But you very rarely level up ICly, so the HP thing is set up depending on your chosen class, counsulars get more hp then guardians due to force connection.
Refer to the class updates for the charts.
That was an example, of course you would need to spend long hours RP'in practices with occassional fails due to tiredness or hunger, not just 'Insta-stating'.Kael Sekura wrote:People can already do such things. Now that's something I want to see implemented, a person using the Howler scream and people around being forced into a /emnoise, lol.Phillip Braden wrote: ::Uses force scream to stun his opponent with a loud sound::, the person being stunned would then use /emnoise to RP this.
