Floating Lightsaber Hilt Problem

Ok so basically the model I have for Wen his hilt floats above his knuckles every time he holds it in his hand or holds it period, it may not be a big deal to others but to me it's bothering me and throwing my RP experience off by having it look so awkward. I was told this was a weighing issue with the model and the skeleton, tags, and stuff.

I'm not really experienced in that field of skinning or modeling so I have no idea on how to fix this myself. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with this problem because it's effecting my RP.

Thanks.

This is a common issue I've noticed on a number of models, I think it may be something to do with the structure of the model, and placement/location/type of the hand compared to a human one like say, Kyle.

Though it's only a theory I have.

I have the same problem. I'm not exactly sure how modding skins/models works in this game, but I think you have to re-tag the model's arm to the skeleton, but a little bit farther to the right. Someone want to confirm or add to this?

I truly wish I knew how to do that

As far as I understand it, that's the easy bit. The harder part is that the whole model then needs to be re-weighted.

Actually, the only thing you have to do is edit your holster file.
I don't know if you got one in your skin, if not you should make one to set properly the hilt.

The holster file constitutes placements of all weapons and your hilt on your belt when they aren't immediately selected in your hand. His skin requires weighting.

From my experience (this has happened with old models) reweighing something is a long, annoying process and the editor may (don't quote me) need the original model(s) used in the process.

Is that the only vurk model on the market? We've had former members who have used a vurk model. I'm not sure if it's the same one.

I know there are a few, the most common I can think of would be the Coleman Trebor one for MB2.
