• Subject Requested:

The third form in lightsaber combat: Soresu.

• Open/Private Lesson:

Preferably private, although I'm willing to make an exception based on varying circumstances, and at the discretion of the mentor.

• Availability:

1500-2200 GST, on the weekdays. Completely open on the weekends.

• Reason For Request:

I'm an avid fan of jumping around in combat, which has proved to be a deterrent for me; because it's unfocused jumping. Something that Ataru can fix, if used correctly. After a conversation on lightsaber forms with Master Vir'n, he suggested that if I desire to learn Ataru that I should learn Soresu first. This being that it's a stepping stone to Ataru, patience and waiting for the right openings before full on aggressiveness, which is what Ataru is. Learning two ends of the spectrum, so to speak. Additionally, I think this would certainly help my tendency to hop around in lightsaber combat, and draw that horrible habit out of me, which I'm sure would be good for everyone.

• Additional Information:

This is my first form that I'm learning outside of Shii-Cho, I've passed the exam on it, a couple of years ago, actually. I'm aware of a number of theoretical components regarding Soresu, however I am missing quite a bit. I'd like both theoretical information to fill in the gaps, and of course practical components to this as well, so I can actually learn the form. As a final note, this will likely be a series of lessons that I'm requesting for, given it's highly unlikely that I'll become a master of Soresu after my first lesson.

Given you have a bit of knowledge regarding the form, I think that you could prove to help me, having an experienced partner! Plus, lightsaber training usually goes along better with a partner, so I'm more than happy to have you aboard on the class! Additionally, I'll try to make sure this lines up with your schedule as well as mine, and the mentor taking the request! I'll see you whenever it happens.
