Wow I actually liked it, at least they didn't put no voice dubs that was cool and plus there was more unreleased footage in this trailer that we've never seen, reveals a little more than I expected.

At least there are a few more detailed scenes in there. Whatever the Rebel Alliance passes for these days is definitely organised, judging by seeing Leia in a command centre, surrounded by officers. Reminds you of the Hoth days prior to the Imperial invasion, or the scenes there during the Battle of Yavin. It's gonna be interesting!

Still no sign of Luke, though.

I don't know why, but this still feels so weird to me... It's like it's Star Wars, but not Star Wars. I can't explain... :/

It feels like a hybrid of Star Wars and something else sci-fi.

^ It could be the cinematography. The Original Star Wars followed old camera work, and as for the prequels... filmed like a soap opera. J.J is using more contemporary effects, acting, and visuals. They are trying to modernize Star Wars while referencing the old trilogy as much as possible! I like it! Can't wait to see it!

The cybernetic hand being placed atop the head of Artoo by the robed/hooded figure. You don't "see" Luke at all but it's got to be him, no one else had as much consideration for the droids as he did.

As far as the secondary trailer goes, I liked it.

Yeah, I know that, Kieran, but he's not on the poster or anywhere else on the trailers. Makes me wonder if he's gonna die in this movie.

here are a lot of theories out there as to why we never see Luke and some of them are really good but regardless of what it actually is JJ Abrams has confirmed that Luke's absences Eintentional

Some like to believe Luke is actually KYLO Ren .. or some think he may have turned to the dark side and is the leader of Sith knights we see in the trailer, or he's just exiled, nobody knows yet. Can't wait to find out though.

The only thing we know for certain is he repeats himself from ROTJ: "The force is strong in my family: My father has it, I have it, My sister had it.." before rounding off with "You have that power too."

They've also shown Kylo Ren unmasked on set, so I don't think Luke=Kylo.

The individual who came to be known as Kylo Ren was born some time after the Battle of Endor. As an adult, approximately thirty years later, he had become a follower of the dark side of the Force and a member of the Knights of Ren, taking on Ren as a surname. He built his own lightsaber, a dangerous and ragged design unlike that of a typical lightsaber.
It isn't Luke as he was born after the Battle of Endor as stated, not to mention it's a known fact that Adam Driver is playing Kylo Ren, not Mark Hamill :P

As to unmasked, there are images floating around of Kylo without the mask, just need to go looking :)

^fact he's hiding something.

Plus JJ is known for hiding the identity in his actors and characters just as he did with Benedict Cumberbatch in star trek.
