Just curious - I heard one needs be approved just to sign into the server itself - that or I've been mislead.

Anyone care to shed some light?

You've been mislead my friend. You can jump straight on in and start roleplaying as the character you're aiming to get approved as. The Council will get around to approving your 'application' and from there the community will then want to RP with you to see how you fit in, or if they can offer you some tips and advice to better fit in. (It can be a challenge to get the hang of so don't worry too much!)

Message pops up saying that the jamp.exe cannot be found in the directory when I try to join the server, but I can clearly see it in the folder - any idea how to fix this?

Edit: From steam itself it says I cannot even load the map.
