Guide Request: Emotes
I'm wondering if I can convince another silly person to do that for me, and then post it for everyone to use. Or if there's already a guide out there somewhere, could I get a link?

Re: Guide Request: Emotes
The alternative, in the event that you weren't aware, is to type /rphelp into the game console, whilst in game. Which also happens to contain a large variety of admin commands, color codes, emotes, etc..

Amoné Fayden wrote:Emote Pack for RPMod
This thread will be used to document and demonstrate some of the new Emotes I have been working on for RPMod. I am aware that RPmod utilizes many emotes already, though many go unused. However, I think most will agree that the main reason we chose JKA as our role play stage over pen & paper or forums, is because of the creative freedom and visual stimulus that it offers.
Having more ways to express ones character visually is always a good thing.
The goal with this pack is to include emotes that can be used in a multitude of ways. Although there may be one or two, my aim was to avoid creating emotes with only one use or purpose. Many of the emotes were also based off of what I have seen people commonly write in their character's ::Actions::.
I will list example uses with each one but obviously people are only limited by their imagination. Be creative.
Some of these emotes may not be fully functional for everyone because of the wide array of models that our members have. I have used various test models during the course of making these and have found nothing so drastic as to render them useless but some may feel differently.
As you will also see, some of these emotes may be geared more towards males and some to females and children. However, please keep in mind that these can also be applied to NPCs to create a rich and immersive atmosphere for time spent on outings, scenarios and missions.
As always, these exist to bolster what your character is expressing. These should never replace good old ::Actions::!
Without further ado!

Two-handed Gun equip & Idle
Command: N/A
Example usage: N/A
Walk compatible: Yes
Note: This is my replacement for how our characters hold two-handed weapons like rifles, bowcasters, launchers etc. Included is an "Idle" animation that may play. In it the character will look to their left slightly and then back ahead. Simple and not intrusive.
Unlike the other emotes above which are optional, this is will replace the default that we use. It would be far too presumptuous of me to force this on the community without your input and/or approval. So please let me know what you think of it.
As you will see below, I chose to have the gun ready at shoulder height so the animation change between "idle" and "fire" would be smoother and require less drastic movement of the arms. I felt our current gun equip stance was too aggressive with it's perma-aim.
Below is an example of how the characters will look between idle and firing.____________________________
One-handed Pistol equip & Fire
Command: N/A
Example usage: N/A
Walk compatible: Yes
Note: One-handed weapons such as the Bryar and DL-44 have their own equip stance. Much like above, I felt our current default stance was too aggressive and persistently aimed the gun even when not firing.____________________________
Gun Pose
Command: /emgun
Example usage: Holding a rifle safely, At ease soldier/merc, Guard at a door.
Walk compatible: Yes
Note: Back to regular emotes here. This can be triggered when holding a rifle to stow it downwards. I did not use this one for our default weapon equip replacement as I felt it was too relaxed for a firefight and the distance the gun would have to travel from idle to firing would result in too much arm movement. It would look rather silly.

Shii Cho
Command: /emsaberpose4

Makashi
Command: /emsaberpose5

Soresu
Command: /emsaberpose6

There is still much to be done!
I appreciate that many of you will have suggestions and requests but since we are running on a budget of 50 emotes max, I will not be able to add everything that people want to see.
On top of that, as mentioned above, my goal is to have as many multi-purpose emotes as possible. Personalized emotes unique to people's characters or regurgitation of emotes we already have is not something I think we ought to include.
Remember, these are also to be applied to the various citizens of the Galaxy (NPCs) so of course, not all of them are going to appear "Jedi-y"
With that said, I would like to think that the majority of these, if not all, should be applicable for in-temple activities and situations.
So! Feedback definitely, good and bad. And please keep personal requests to a minimum eh?
Chances are they won't make it in unless I can see many people using it or it has multiple uses.
Thanks for looking!

Re: Guide Request: Emotes
My current project. I'm going to compile all I can into a new, somewhat more updated guide. A few of the emotes (like emyes, and emno, for instance) have been left out due to the fact they are pure animation, and emdead/2/3 are similar to some of the Deaths, so I'm leaving them out of the pictures.
This is in no way going to be done quickly, it's just a little task I've decided to do since I have so much spare time.
I'll try to have it in order similar to this thread, and reference the ones I don't have pictures of. As per the other guide in here, I'll include the style (shii-cho and stuff) for the saberposes, if they have one.
Wish me luck, I think I'll need it.
