Permission to use JEDI content in school project?

In a class I'm taking in college, I have to create an application that someone can use. I noticed that we have a galactic map picture but little more than that. Would it be ok with you guys if I made an interactive galactic map application for my project, and would you all be interested in a copy to use for yourselves?

I think it'd be awesome to have an interactive version of the map. If it counts as schoolwork as well, go for it!

Ok, got a bit of an issue, due to some fair use issues and everything, I won't be able to create a Galactic Map for JEDI immediately.
But once the map is done, I'll convert it over to something that hopefully JEDI can use.

Map is going well, it should be easy to reverse engineer this once it's time for JEDI to get its hands on it.
