Species specific abilities.
Is there anyway we could have species specific abilities. Such as Nautolans having the ability to breathe underwater?
And since not every species has an obvious physical difference you could improvise for instance "Ryloth's harsh environment and turbulent history have forged Twi'leks into tough survivors." So, Twi'leks could have an ability called Ryloth's Wrath that works like force protect.

It could actually be possible, but your exemple of FM3 is that those species are actually using a Force power in order to do those.
While we would all use the Force the same way, it would require creating new powers, which I am not sure the mod team wants to go that far fetched for the first version.
