BattleFront Jump

Hello
I know that I already proposed this, but I wanted to make it official, so, eh...
Yea, well, the idea is simple :
Each level of Jump gives a 'hop' equivalent to BaseJka Jump 2. That means if you are level 1, you'll have one jump; if level 2, you'll have 2, and so on.

I SAY NAY.
Actually I think it would be cool, I just don't know about the realism factor of the Battlefront jump...

Ever played it? If not, can't really judge, right?
Anyhow, I believe it is much more realistic as you can control your jumps I think a bit better.

...Would the game engine support it?

I think its quite unreal... I mean unreal in SW world. I have both SW:Battlefront and jumping was really nice... you just jumped and then jumped again (From air...) and again until you lose all stamina. I'm not saying just negatives, actually it will be cool, but jumping from air?

The principles for this is rather simple :
You don't jump from air, you jump from the Force.
We've seen a 2.5 foot alien toss two freighter-size ships together, we've seen a SINGLE Dark Apprentice crash a Star Destroyer, we've also witnessed a single Jedi push away a full army of droids by a simple Push...
Now, you tell me it wouldn't be 'possible' for the Force to propel you, time and time again, in the air?
::chuckles:: to me it would be likely possible.

I think that all depends on "how it will look" in game... For now I imagine you jumping more and more like if u're jumping on stairs, it would really look bad that way... if it's one jump going up more and more while u keep pressing jump button that it might looks more realistic... Still I don't know how it would look like

It would be similar, repeating the animation of Jump.
Personally, I would have it changed all together though as I find it 'stiff' and unreal..

A few thoughts:
- It would change game play tremendously in combat.
- It would increase the possibilities of game play in combat allowing for new ideas.
- It would be useful in certain areas.
- It would be abused.
- I would support it as long as we were able to choose between the current type of jump and the multiple jumps at will in game.

Yes I actually have, both 1 and 2, hehe. It's just that with something like Jump 5 with the Battlefront jump, you could absolutely soar to an
immense height on a map. I sort of retract my statement on how it would be unrealistic, but as was stated it would definitely change combat as well as be open for abuse.
My opinion is that Jump 3 itself gives the user plently of airspace.

Woah, good idea. ::Votes for this one::

Repeating of animation jump? Not jumping from air after all?
Arikakon Genkal wrote:...Would the game engine support it?
Same question.

I only see it as a way for people to abuse jump further.
You, yourself Axem have been a major proponent of walking, as it is more realistic, rather than "bunny hopping", running and jumping to get around. Do you not see this being abused by the less committed?
Two extra level of jump is perfectly fine, if not excessive.
