If you've seen the new clanmod, the creator made a more realistic grapple hook, it's connected to the belt and it has a more realistic hook. Is there a way to make it available to like padawans or knights and above and only have it shoot about 20 feet or so, so it's more realistic? I remember anakin and obi-wan having grapple hooks in episode 3. Just a thought.

While it may be realistic, the realistic use of it is relatively non-existent, as levels of Jump are rapidly gained.

At least thats what I've concluded from what I've seen.

I was thinking for when people fall off of high objects, it helps the RP instead of dieing, thats why i said it should only be short distance. High levels of jump may be attained quickly but I still havn't seen somone fly. like when TEF or whatever it's called kept falling off the side of the temple, grapple would have come in handy. I know grapple would probably be "abused" but thats why I said it should be given to certain rank, if a knight goes outside of the RP and bunny hops or abuses battlefront jump or abuses grapple hook, like was mentioned before they probably don't diserve to be a knight, not like I know anything about it, I'm sure no one takes me seriously here, for many and obvious reasons, the main ones being 1. I'm not a member 2. I'm a brat 3. My spelling and grammer suck (never really found a reason good enough to learn how to type and spell well) I know no one said anything about abuse or anything i just thought i would cover that before someone else used that as a reason why something wouldn't work. I'd rather people post reasons why something would work, then why it wouldn't work, there are always going to be negatives to any given subject, the only reason you choose something is because the positives usualy cancel out the negatives. If I'm just talking out of my rear just delete this. It's just I've noticed a lot of negative attitudes lately.

I think it's a good idea, personally.

It's a good Idea Tinth, however, its potential use by someone with the RP rank you suggest is nominal. Knights as a rule generally dont fall off buildings... and if they do, they can use push to break their fall and wotnot. Still, nice to see someone thinkning outside the box.

It would be really useful to someone with level one jump ::motions to self and nudges the council:: ::laughs::

Yeah, a grappling hook add to the RP potential, as in a rp situation, where a jedi and his troopers need to say, get on a roof, the jedi can jump, but what about the troopers. Also, just having it for people with accounts is fine I think, people with accounts shouldn't have account's if their going to use stuff like this inappropriately.
