This is probably really picky, but 'Saber Attack' and 'Saber Defend' would be more aptly named 'Saber Offense' and 'Saber Defense'.
Thanks.

I don't know if I'd call it 'useful' but it sounds better, and doesn't seem hard to do either.

Eh sounds fine the way it is to me. Not really a necessary change in my opinion.

Here is my explanation:
To understand this change, we must first look at meaning in context.
In standard written English, the word 'attack' refers to a combative move aimed at your opponent. It is important to acknowledge that 'attack' has semantic forms that are nouns, but we cannot place 'attack' as a noun, because we are not referring to that. The only straight-forward contextual meaning of saber attack clearly implies a move itself: a saber attack, when that is not the purpose of the phrase. Thus, one is not skilled in 'saber attack', but rather, saber attacking. Saber attacking, however, is inappropriate because of the root verb 'attack'. 'Saber attacking', sounds as if it is in the present tense (an on-going action), so, a better word can be used.
'Offense', or the action of attack is a better choice because it is a noun. A noun fits with the Force power list. Akin to saber attacking, we would have 'shocking', 'absorbing', 'protecting', 'jumping', etc. Obviously, the noun form not only sounds better, but also fits grammatically. When we try to describe powers in a general sense, we use nouns, because verbs are 'action words', almost always used to describe an action that was, will be, or is happening, or continuing.
Similarily, the verb 'defend' is used for the actual action of blocking against a given force, usually exterior. The term 'saber defend' does not make sense. There is no appropriate context for which to put 'defend'.
Unlike 'saber attack', there is not even a such thing as a 'saber defend'. 'Saber block' would be an equal replacement, but the noun form of block refers to an actual (physical) object, a block. Using block as a verb raises the issue stated above. Again, we look for the alternative, the ACTION of blocking, defense.
Therefore, we have 'saber offense', and 'saber defense'.

I agree with Cyril. Whilst not necessarily adding anything to the RP or game mechanics, it definitely gives a slightly better feeling, when looking at the Force Selection Template.
But in this context, I also think that Corinth's suggestion of a name change to the Mind Trick into Force Cloak, is just as appropriate.
Also, I can't remember which, but I remember that the descriptions for some forces were a bit non-fitting, or basically just wrong.

*Absorption & Protection* As appose to 'Absorbing & Protecting'

Nivek,
I was using 'absorbing and protecting' as examples of incorrect usage in context, not suggestions. I agree with you there.

I'd have to agree with Cyril here, not only did Cyril totaly own the topic with big words about correct english usage and stuff

but "Saber Offense" sounds more causual and mature than "Saber Attack" in my opinion.

If it bugs you that much, maybe it should be changed right away to prevent a riot or perhaps a 2nd Virginia Tech

Completely uncalled for, Torrak.
I'd request his post and mine as well be deleted.

Just another stupid post by yours truely.
Seriously dude, that is completely uncalled for.
Back on topic, I don't see why make a 16 page topic arguing to change 2 words...
