JEDI Comport

I was thinking abou this recently. Meditating is a common acivity for Jedi. There are many different styles to meditating. Also, there are many postures. If anyone has played KOTOR you see Bastila using battle meditation on here knees. I was wondering if there could be an animation added to the Mod (/em< >). Thats just my opinion. The /emmediate and /emlotus are the most commonly used. BUT they are used when people are just sitting in class etc. Having an animation for actaully meditating would be cool.

Perhaps one thread serving as a cumulative storage where people can post their ideas for new animations of all sorts should be opened and stickied?

This sort of question crops up a lot sadly.

The thing is, adding new custom animations is aparently not an easy process at all.
Had there been an animation already within JKA that would be suitable, I think it's a matter of linking a command to that specific animation.

If you can find an animation in JKA we could use (by browsing in Modeview) grab a screenshot.

I never quite finished it however, wanted to move the hands to the lap etc, but i had it all working at one point. If the council approves I can work on it some more and then we could always implant it into RPMod.

If you could implement this... I would honestly hug you. It's looks awesome already. I really hope they say yes to that.

Blavek...You are a God at this...That is almost exactly identical to what i imagined.

I've just learnt my fair share of stuff in JKA, well pretty much everything other than coding. I'm no god , I just like to learn this kinda stuff so I can do things like this.

Just something I thought of to make it a little more realistic. When you kneel down like that, you don't put all your weight on your toes do you. If you could make him point the toes backwards and also have the heels go alongside the rump, then it'd be more realistic and comfortable (Seriously, try sitting like him, then try sitting like I just described.)

Maybe angle the toes back, but that's actually how we had to sit when I was taking karate, so... yeah.

That looks very interesting, new animations could make new actions possible in RPMod... but remember there must also be transition animations (standing -> kneeling, kneeling -> standing).

No can do, JKA doesn't support 'toe bones' as it were making it impossible for me to angle the toes in another direction.

However, I can adjust the ankles which was on my list of to-do things anywho.
