JEDI Comport

I was recently watching the old films when something occured to me today. Everyones always suggesting things that could be changed for force powers and also complaining about storm. After watching Episode 2 and 3 I figure I might as well make a suggestion as well that may solve the storm issue or at least help it along.

I was watching Episode 2 when I saw Obi effortlessly block Dookus Lightning and just absorb it with his saber. (I've got a screen-cap of it HERE for those who want to see it.) And I thought, hey, it'd be awesome on RPMod if those with a higher saber defence than an opponents storm, absorbed the damage. It'd be a great way to go "Ha, is that it?"

But it's when I got onto Episode 3 that my mind went... oooohh... CUE SCREEN-CAP AGAIN! Everyone remembers this bit, the not quite so great fight between Mace Windu and ol' Lumpy. I then thought, why not make level 3 or 4 defence reflect the damage back at them? Maybe have it drain some force power cos as you can see HERE deflecting that stuff is no easy task.

Of course have the whole power come barging through if Storm is at a higher level than defense or maybe have a factor based on movement, for example if someones running, they aren't going to be able to block high level blasts but if they are walking, they can absorb but if they are just standing... DEFLECT!!!

Thought this would be a cool addition and fix for what i've seen is a little problem. So kindly feel free to tear the idea to shreds and laugh or go yay.

EDIT: The mod lets you block lightning already, I'm pretty sure it's around in the features list or something.

No I don't actually. I still have yet to reach the stage where I get a lightsaber. Had a wierd feeling in my stomach when I posted this thinking "Wait... what if it's already done..."

With defense 3+ you can deflect storm as long as your saber is ignited and you are facing your opponent.

It also drains your Force Energy from what I gather, you can't just hold it off forever.

Yes, Force Storm, when blocked by a lightsaber, eats up the blocker's FP until they run out, which results in the blocker no longer being able to defend. I find this a bit unfair that even though Guardians focus more on the lightsaber, they can't hold up their blocking as long as a Sentinel or Consular can, hehe.

So basically everything works pretty much exactly as I was suggesting... awesome... I think the thread die now...

On an off-note, it's also implied on Wookiepedia that Guardians deflect lightning with their lightsabers while Consulars repel it with the Force like Yoda did.

Just a little tidbit for the curious. RPMod is fantastic by the way.
