It's "Sokurah" and he was the evil wizard. Sinbad used to shout it, not the wizard himself! Who runs around shouting their own name unless theyre a Pokémon or Matt Damon?

You know what's even funnier Kael?.... Your character looks like a younger version of Sokurah...

I spent ages reading the Chiss article on Wookiepedia. I started off with the Core name (originally Kalen, which was just off the top of my head really), then I added bits. Since there's no clear single definition of how Chiss names are structured, I initially picked the easiest method, which had the middle section as the Core name. "Nira" was again off the top of my head, while "Nuruodo" came from various Chiss names, including Thrawn. However, Thrawn wasn't actually from House Nuruodo, but was adopted into House Mitth (Mitth'raw'nuruodo), which rules out any possible relationship between my character and the late Grand Admiral :P

I had come up with the variation of Aldia from a character in a game called the Bouncer, named Kaldia because I had fallen in love with the games characters and story.

And as for the last name, I had taken the the last name of a friend's character from Star Wars Galaxies (Crestrunner.)

Arial Kast came from a random name generator i was shown after trying to think endlessly, I just kept looking through alot of female, star wars galaxy, human, names until I found some I liked best, it came out of either Arial or Kaiya, and Kast Or Maru, I ended up picking Arial Kast of course.

Well, first, my old character, Ty Ran, I formed when I first wanted to get into JEDI, way back in JK2. I just thought of tyrant, and dropped the t at the end, and made it Ty Ran.

And Coren, was either an invention of mine, or Ryrek's when we were developing our 2nd characters (Coren and Ryrek). Probably came from a generator, it's been too long to tell.

And a funny tidbit for those who have know me in JEDI long enough, I originally started as a Vurk, moved to a Mace Windu model (therefore being black), and since late in Ty's development till now with Coren, I've been white. So I've had a retarded character history.

Ergo was came up with from random parts of words from stuff on my desk.
His father Endu Stomi was came up the same way.
and my first character I tried to join JEDI with was Vidra Ulari, is tied to Ergo's backstory. Vidra is Russian for Otter, my name I've used in my gamer clans, and Ulari was just something sweet I came up with I think that sounded good with it.

Aslyn is my personal nickname, something I've used for years, since it was something a friend of mine from Germany used to call me, because my full name wasn't something he seemed to be able to pronounce. Denethorn was a name derived from the Everlasting Book of Names :)

What about Crestvari or Krestvari? Where'd you get those?

My names are both from some stories i wrote a long time back, kinda into the writing of Lotr genre stories, but i aint that good at it.

Esillias is the name of a man that in one story trains a character called Dakim (my previous JKA name) so i chose that after trying to figure a name that fitted with Kahn.

As for the origin of the last name, i guess it is derived of the German Goalkeeper Oliver Khan, but also of a character - General Khan, from one of my stories i wrote later on, a Star Craft fanfiction.

Aayla
a common name given to Twi'lek females, and means "mist" or "smoke" in the Twi'leki language. (from twi'lek dictionary)

Vigil

"Aayla" is a twi'leki word meanwhile "Vigil" is a basic one, as her family has been away from Ryloth for several generations before their coming back when Aayla was born. This surname is due possibly to a job that one of her ancestor/s were in charge of (vigilance), but the real origin is so far unknown.

You can't choose what is right

I didn't know that originally they were bird women. They are often described as fish-women but the difference lays in antic or medieval interpretation.

I think you're thinking of mermaids, Phoe.

I've always known the Siren to be a half woman/fish. Near enough the same look as a mermaid. Never heard of the bird/woman one before O.o
