VR Room

Would it be possible to make it so if you hit a grid of lasers or fall into a pit, that only the person who did so gets sent back to the initial room instead of everyone in that room which usually results in people crushing others via the teleport.

Yes but not without editing the .map :( that i'm aware off. Whiiiiich aint, fun. lol

Soo, i doubt it'll happen :(

Good idea still but meh.

Ctathos and I discovered a way around that the other night: the person who trips the room reset should preferably be moving - the reason one kills the other is because both are automatically sent to the same TP point. If one of those people is moving when the rest activates, their motion continues after the fact, and as such, they're displaced away from the other person. Hence, nobody dies.

Still a real hassle with everyone being teleported at once and sometimes the situation presented keeps you from moving when you hit it.

Could a patch perhaps be applied, as has been the case with previous map issues?

This is not possible as far as I know. If I remember correctly, each VR room has one big teleport trigger that gets activated when someone "fails", thus teleporting everyone in the room. The VR rooms weren't meant to be used by more than one person at a time.

Yup and you can't apply a patch of any kind to fix a teleporter that i'm aware off. You'd need to use the .map file, which i have but can't compile sadly.
