Force Usage in Vehicles

The other day I was in a vehicle and I kept trying to sense to locate people, and to no avail it didn't work. Thought it would be a good idea to be able to use a select few of the Force powers while still be in a vehicle. Being able to use sense in ships could prove handy in missions and other situations.
Also, I think being able to use Force powers on mounted vehicles (swoop, tauntaun, etc.,) would prove handy, and realistic, considering how sitting on the top of an animal/swoop shouldn't limit your Force abilities.
Thoughts?

Makes PERFECT sense.

well yes it does, but when by example: youre riding a tauntauntaun, wont the endless up-and-downing keep you from concentrating? And on a swoop, dont you need to keep your eyes on the road, so you dont race into something
in a ship it would be different, seeing as you are *usually* sitting still. But it is a good idea

Not true. Jedi are trained to remove distractions from their thoughts, and Anakin Skywalker used the Force while Podracing, passively using Jedi sense abilities. So why the heck not?

Good idea Ergo.

I think the idea makes sense and I like it but I suggest keeping away from the use of Grip, Storm, Push, Pull, Slow etc.
Anything that is outwardly an "offensive" ability.
Things like Sight, Protect, Absorb and Heal would be okay in my book.
Good Suggestion.

How punny.

If you think that a rocket-wielding swoop bike being driven by a storm-hurling Jedi is a bad thing, then I think you should leave. Just leave.

I thought you already had? And I don't see why you should drop by every once in a while to berate members for stating their opinions. If someone makes a suggestion, everyone is welcome to give their thoughts on it. If they disagree with yours, that's your problem, and moreso since you don't play or RP with us any more. But kindly don't take your frustrations out on them.

I'm pretty sure Corinth was agreeing with Vantus in a rather sarcastic manner. Perhaps you should head your own advice.

Hard to tell when you consider some of the crazy stunts that sometimes get pulled on the server. But if that is the case, Corinth, I apologise for being abrupt.

No apology necessary, Aslyn. My fault for forgetting to close my </sarcasm> tag.

I suppose you have to be around me for quite a while before you can read my vocal inflections in text.

I'm not really one in favor of berating people, period.
Yes, I think this is a good idea. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement, either. As I understand it, your powers are removed when you enter a vehicle because of a particular class (not RPMod classes, a model class) you're dropped into in order to alter your animations. This should be able to be customized.

Certain powers like Heal, Protect, Absorb and Sense don't come with animations. (minus those that play when you are stationary) They mostly have glowy-effects which can pretty much be applied to anything from my understanding.
Powers like lightning, Push, pull etc. These all have very specific animations involving the arms etc. I don't think it would be possible to impliment these whilst driving without creating new animations for arm actions while sitting. (Plus... we use our hands to drive...)
It would look kind of odd for Lightning to sprout forth from our nostrils or to blow somebody away simply by looking at them.

I agree with Corinth. This is utter nonsense.

This is usually one of those kinds of things that gets exploited a lot. but I don't see that happening. Mainly since only JEDI members have force powers and if you also take away the offensive ones then you solve the situation entirely.
woohoo, drive-by healings.
