Multiple wall jumps

I was wondering if it would be possible to build on the wall grip feature we gain along side jump3. As it is right now, you can only do one wall grip, where as in base you can do multiple, as shown here

If this is available beyond level 3 jump then great, although i've never seen it. This is a handy move for getting to some tricky locations though. It can also be used for some unique and extra training we currently don't have.

Thoughts?

I hugely agree. I've always found it odd that we can't do that.

It is possible to do multiple walljumps, you just have to do them quickly. As in, you have to only tap the jump button for a split second, instead of holding it down. If timed correctly (quickly), you can do multiple wall jumps.

It seems as if holding the jump button down (grabbing the wall longer) triggers a "jumping-off-the-wall-after-wall-grab"-animation that prevents you from grabbing a wall again. If you tap the jump button quickly though (grabbing the wall quickly), the animation is not triggered, thus allowing you to wallgrab again.

If I remember correctly, this works in JA+ as well.

*hmm* I've tried this within RPMod several times with no such luck. I'll check again however in case i'm mistaken. Do you have jump 4 by any chance?.

Yes. At first I thought that you will be able to do multiple wallgrabs if you purchased Jump4, no matter if you actually set your Jump level to 3. So I asked Indilia, who has purchased 3, to try it.
Since she was able to do it, I assumed that you can do it with Jump3 already.

You can't do so with that fluidity. Believe me, I've tried.

Certainly if this is the case then it needs to be refined as I spent a good long time trying to get it to work both by holding the keys and mashing them like mad. I have Jump 3 myself and have never been able to do it. I'm not sure if it's a benefit that comes with higher jump levels or not.

Plus as the video demonstrates, Kaelen can do it in JA+ or Base JKA but not in RPmod.

Still if it could be made easier, that'd be lovely! :)

You can do it as Lynee saids, however.. you can't go -that- high up. It stops you.

Looky!

----------

Decided I'd give this a try. Turns out Master Lynee'alin is correct, and Master Loist is also correct, height is limited to like 4 or 5 wall leaps before you stop gaining height having tested in it various points around the temple but you can still keep going on the descent again. It's not difficult really but in a fight you'd have to think pretty quick to get it right I guess.

Looky looky!

I tested it myself and it does work BUT you must be dropping with the arms spread in a falling position - if you start to descend in any other way, you're not able to click-grip the wall.

I suppose a bit of tweaking can do no harm.

Fair enough and nice video! lol

After testing again myself, I still feel refining the ability would be a good idea however. It doesn't really work flawlessly as with base JKA.
