Broken doors, switches, ships and more

I think it would be pretty cool if say someone accidentally sabers/shoots a switch and it could stop functioning. Or someone slashes a door and it actually stops working and stops in place. or a ship gets a critical hit and you have say 30 seconds to land it before it blows up or stops working.
Now that the thing is broken what are you going to do? the elevator to the second floor isn't working so.. FIX IT! Go to a droid, get a hydrospanner and fix the switch, door, ship or whatever else broke.
Thoughts?

Pretty sure a previous map we used had those features, and it was the cause of frequent server crashing.

Well i suggested it because say your on a mission and a fire fight ensues. Most people wont think if a switch to a door gets hit by a rocket or takes a blaster shot. Or some people are sparring with force on the second floor dojo and one of them uses lightning and damages the switch. I don't think it's something that would come to most peoples mind but i think it would be neat to have switches break and actually having to fix them.

It's technically possible but both of the instances you described are rare. In a mission, if a door should be shut down, we can use /rpsecuritydoor to effectively block it. Otherwise, yes, it'd be nice but it's not a huge deal. At the Temple, it's not really like we use Force powers like Storm, etc that often -- again, neat if it existed, but it's really not necessary.

Yeah, not needed.
