Health and Force Energy Progression

This just came to mind as I was doing my work out for Li. A suggestion of Health and Force increase per level.
Currently, as you level your automatically given your Health and Force points. Well, It came to my mind a suggestion of possibly doing work outs for these points? I mean... Naturally, it is mandatory in JEDI to role play your character properly, I know. And, someone who does not train their characters for physical endurance and mental fortitude would naturally be weak in these elements. So, what I think would be a neat idea is to literally train your characters to earn those Health and Force points that is already given to your character.
So, here is the idea: Basically, you would be level.. Whatever, 13. Your natrually (This is an example, do not kill me for details) supposed to have 120 Health, 180 Shields. Etc. Well, what I am suggesting is we literally train our characters for Health and Force Xp and set maximums for how far you can put Xp into that level. And, naturally, it would increase to the maximum of that level. It does not have to be big, say.. 1 or 2 xp per such-and-such amount of hours spent training.
Now, I can see a fault to this system. And that is how would you know when to spend the Xp, or how it is granted, if even? Well, make records of it in your Journal, and the Council or a Master/Knight would see this and distribute accordingly.
Just a suggestion.

I think you'd be putting way to much time into having to develop your hp & force by these exercices, not leaving much room for other things. Specially for people that are already low on their time to spend, they wouldn't feel like giving all their time into such things, which as you said can easily be turned into simple RP- for the people that feel like it.
But pretty much every physical exercice develops this. The idea is alright, and I see what your aiming for here but personally, I feel it would take to much time out of the RP that is focused on something, partially oocly (health and force bar) which of course relate to IC stuff to some extend.

I have only recently begun to view the Health and Force gar by our mental and physical strengths. Seems good, and I agree with what you said. Good points, Fane.

I agree with fane, we cant always stay on server to enhance our character's abilities. Plus class choices cover it up. For example consulars focus on Force and lack the physique, guardians focus on combat yet lack a powerful command of the force...etc.
I can see your point and I concede with it, It would just be too much of a bother. People can just rp their characters realistically and not appear too bulky for their age/training/whatever...Or those who are older and more trained can act tougher and more resiliant. It would be quite a tedious task to implement this as well to support it...
JEDI is an rping clan, we can rp it no need to cram up rp mod with such unnecessary things. I understand that one who trains their character every day (without xp gain) may suffer from low hp, but they may also use "some" and I emphasize "some" ooc skills which are "relevant" to the skills honed. Ofcourse a ten-year-old such as Li wont spar like yoda, but she could last longer and be more resiliant...
Example:
Li: ::Looks up to ametha wiping some sweat off her forhead:: Ametha... wan'a... spar? I have to finish my morning practice...*heh*.
Ametha: *uhmmm*...Okay, I guess.
((After some sabering and Li cutting ametha at every turn))
Ametha: ::Pants heavilly:: You're...tough...
Li: *heh* Thanks ametha.
Ametha: ::Mumbles:: I should practice...*Feh*.
That's the general idea.

I've always supported the idea of making your health and force pool something that could be affected by XP application.

If that were to happen, it should have a cap per level or class, because some of the Masters have a ton of free XP which could then easily be channeled into HP/Force, making them even stronger than they are now, which may be a little excessive.

I said that, Master

We can keep the current system we have now, except as it is per level, have a small Health cap. Maxing/stopping at like 15 or something. Of coarse, the Masters would already achieve this, because, naturally in one's life, they'll eventually begin to seize raising in health and lowering.
With the current system, as it is, the end result would be the Guardians having less Force than Consular, but more Hp, Sentinels being mixed between, etc.

Quite frankly Ben Franklin I'm happy with the system as is. Besides with more classes (or someone with a ridiculous amount of time - species instead of classes but let's avoid diving into that one again) The progression would vary between characters as it would in real life. Btw it's worth noting that HP indicates how much damage you can take - if you get hit with a lightsaber "realistically" you will die, regardless of what "level your hp is". HP should not indicate stamina. RP indicates stamina, you should know when to stop.

Agreed with Aslyn and Nivek, sums up what I was thinking later on...

Without a weapons system that
greatly increases the amount of damage that our lightsabers do, it's unrealistic to still roleplay as if your HP indicates health.

I have to agree with Nivek also. I see where you are coming from but I don't think such changes are really all that important or needed. I quite like the system the way it is right now. Good thinking but I'd pass personally.

I agree with Master Tholmai. Also think it should have to do with age/size as well....

I think it's a good idea but it's not greatly important and the system isn't too bad now i believe.
