FP view

I was thinking, when you are your character, you shouldn't be able to see whats behind you, but to hear or sense, perhaps. When you are watching in third person view, you clearly manage to see a bit behind you.
The suggestion is simple: add the possibility to change to First Person view for melee and probably saber too, because by default in mp you can't.
Very simple and short suggestion, of course, but I may feel more inside my character that way

.

I personally don't like the first person in saber, but I wouldn't complain if it was added. It's a interesting idea, though.

well they did it in MB2 so it is well possible.

I was sure there already was a way to do this..
In any case, as a toggle, sure. Why not. Not something i'd use personally but having the option to do so would be fair enough.

Already suggested twice:
If I do it, I'll simply integrate OJP TrueView. Not high priority stuff though.

I personally wouldn't use it either but I admit for the hopefulls, or anyone who is not activly trained in sensing it adds to the experience.

Of course it isn't of any priority

, but still, it adds a nice feel. Go ahead, add OJP trueview!

How do you propose one sense's whats behind them without being able to SEE, as a player?
For me, it makes sense to have third person view, because then I would be able to tell whats going on immediately behind my character, which would make sense considering a Jedi is hard to sneak up on.
Plus I like to look at my skin.

I think the idea is that it's optional, fellas.

I think that settles the need for more discussion.

Seems that you don't seem to understand, people

Well, Soh did.
trueview is a camera modifier that lets you make cameras more realistic when in FP view. With it, for example, the steps you take make the camera move a little, or rolling could make the camera roll as well (dizzy, right xD), you can see your own body when you look down, and more.
And, the most important thing to leave clear is that all those modifications are (1) for FP view only, not for Third person. You can still use P to change between views, and stay with third person for spars and enything else. And (2) they are customizable. If you don't want the camera to roll with your character or to move with steps, you can change those options separately, as well as several others.
I don't really know if OJP default works like that, but MB2 has it that way, so, of course, it is possible.

simply put...
it's something you can toggle on or off, just like first-third person with guns.
Don't like it, don't have to use it- won't ever be in touch with it.
Hopefulls that want to put in that extra bit off 'realism' of not knowing what's behind them unless they actually turn can have it on... or simply ignore everything what's behind them in 3rd.

I'm pretty sure everyone understands, considering its been discussed in two different topics.

Yeah it just needs to be a toggle in options.
