More Actives NPCs

Would it be possible to set patrol routes for NPCs so they're not so rigid? This might help with some stealth exercises too. Just a command /npc patrol team x y? We might have to tweak it a bit, but it could be helpful if we could make it work.
Thoughts?

That would totally give it more realism; If I may go further to even suggest have npc's spar every now and again? I don't know how it works or if it's possible, but It'd be a nice idea.
A droid for the Archives would be good as well.
Great idea Simus!

This sounds REALLY familiar, but plugging through the pages of suggestions, I haven't found it yet.
However, I think that while NPCs may provide a sense of immersion, it also is a false sense of immersion.
I role play in JEDI to interact with folks, not NPCs, even if they walk about.
Suitable perhaps for droid NPCs, and perhaps in missions. For temple play of sentient species NPCs? I don't think so.

I think it would make it more alive, if you have a drouid that walks through the halls from time to time, makes the place little more alive.
Or perhaps a mouse droid.

Think Atlantica. We had numerous npcs walking around specific routes.

I recall something along the lines of things like droids patrolling the halls doing rounds not TOO long ago but for some reason it was put down. Cant recall the specific reason, but it was deemed somehow illogical at the time. If, somehow, the idea can still be implemented i'm all for it though.

I do remember someone suggesting having NPCs patrol the halls, like cleaning droids. For stealth exercises, I understand and agree, as for just in general, no idea.

Seems like a fairly good idea to me, but then again it just depends on what you are using the NPCs for.

It's possible to do this with scripting, but honestly it doesn't add much. It seems very fake.

I totally agree that it's better to rp with actual people, but I'm thinking this could be something used when the number of available people is much smaller, just to bring some balance to an exercise/mission.

Have to agree. When nobody is on, it makes no sense. What, all the Jedi are asleep or are all off world? Nah.

I'd see it for Gonks, not a fan of having a lot of them around, messes with my ping. Not a fan of NPC's, for the ping reason. Just me though.

Hm, perhaps NPC's of ::JEDI:: characters?

Only if they can be set with that persons permission. Like if we were on vacation in RL, you could have a knight set one up, meditating or something. Other than for that reason just creeps me out.

Nope. Lol.
