Force powers?

Now, I was checking in detail how the force powers worked in RPmod, especially since Soh decided to talk about these coming soon features...

And I noticed that actually force powers aren't completed yet. :shock:

Anyhow, I came up with suggestions for some of those uncompleted ones (or maybe it is planned already and this is a waste of time?)
  • Absorb lvl5
    User can't even be pushed/pulled/etc. OR, if those can't be used already, make the user more lighting-resistant, with absorb working even for lvls 3 and 4 of lightning with saber up, but for 5 you still need melee.
  • Drain lvl4
    You receive 2x of what you steal, or inversely, he losses double than normal.
  • Drain lvl5
    Same as above, but 3x.
  • Lightning lvl5
    Instead of slapping, stun the opponent. (Thinking of ep 6, when Luke was still down for a while after the emperor stopped).
  • Fury lvl4
    As fury is an energy-consuming power, so maybe you could make it last for as long as the player has both hp AND fp, the second which would be gradually consumed over time after hp is over (but the initial cost remains too). However, your attributes are improved 25% more.
  • Fury lvl5
    This one would be the extreme of fury, channeled into actions, movements. Therefore, I think that a 50% improvement (relative to lvl3) could do, but you would still gradually lose every point (HP and FP).
  • Defense lvl5
    Probably, since you defend more, I guess that it could be represented in less damage dealt or something like that?
  • Throw lvl4
    Now you would have the ability to make it, like, hover in one place, instead of it moving forward constantly (Though, this may be hard to actually code/implement).
  • Throw lvl5
    What if you aim at any opponent, then you use throw, and what happens is that the saber automatically follows the opponent, just like a rocket does.
I want to make clear that, first, this is a basic explanation, and if you are not sure if you understood what I said, then ask for sure. Second, you may already have plans for all of this, and if so, I didn't know, so you can ignore all of this. Third, these are only suggestions, so calm down :P

If you could find an animation for it, Throw/impale would be cool. As soon as it's thrown it just sticks em' like a shishkabob(sp). Or just faster travel would be neato.

I like all of that.. but to add onto that and I hate to say it but I think the effects from MB2's new Lightning effects need to be imported to RPMod.

Drain should be changed to Foce suppression/breach (with no health replenish). The replenish HP effect should be enabled only for lvl 4+, in my opinion.

I said the same thing when I looked at the force power list. I'm like wtf it's not even done. lol.

I agree with everything except for the idea your had for the defense lvl 5, thats just weird. Maybe lvl 5 could give an increased chance of an automatic block that could even block back attacks.

@ Rash thats a great Idea I always liked that sparking effect from MB2's lightning.

Edit: disregard entire post, didn't understand what you meant at first

What power do you mean by Throw? There is no throw power. There is hold, and then there is push. If you known how to put them together, you can throw people. At hold 3, people stop moving forward and you can "aim" them wherever you want. And I wouldn't want Hold 5 to automatically throw my saber at someone. Kinda leaves you defenseless.

I would like to have slow that actually dims the opponent's screen out, so they cannot move.
Plus, we should change heal to Stamina Regeneration and Heal others to simply Heal.
Also, we should change force rage to force body, as I find it unusual that Jedi are allowed to use their anger in a fight, LoL.

Ultimate goal of the mod is to be publically released, it won't be used by those who only play as Jedi.

Also, yes. Saber spear ftw.

Edit: Well in the public version, maybe it could be altered to not have the names. Also whoever's using it could edit themselves as well, assuming they know how.

Don't think we should touch the heal, besides loosing healing others you can already imagine heal being just that. I mean when we spar we don't actually wound eachother so heal already goes as stanima regen there rather than healing. (unless when you're actually fighting for real, obviously)

The slow & rage would be alright though.
