The RPMod installer still creates a shortcut on the desktop, without asking the client's permission first. Please fix this for the next release.

That's strange, cause it asked me if I wanted to create a desktop shortcut or not, and I said no, and there isn't one... o.o

It created one without asking me too. Could it be a Windows 7 thing if it didn't happen to everyone?

Well I could uninstall it and reinstall it to see if I'm just imagining things?

I have Windows 7 and I didn't get asked as far as I know.

No offense but isn't this more of a bug?

Seems more of a suggestion. Doesn't really matter though.

Manual wins.

It is a suggestion to create an option that allows us to disable the shortcut creation. 8)

What does it matter? Take 5 seconds out of your life to delete it!

It matters, because programs shouldn't create something that you didn't give permission for. Soh knows that this shouldn't happen - this is simply my reminder to help him remember to do it for the next release.

Indeed. Because if a program does something like the icon, what's to say it's not putting other stuff on your computer that you can't see clearly on your desktop, and so can't easily delete it?

The reason he brought it up wasn't just because of the icon, but because of the thought and actions behind the reason why it's doing that. Or at least that's what my thinking is...
