Just thinking this might add a little more variety to the roleplay, instead of dropping the weapon directly below your hand you could either have the lightsaber throw animation, while the weapon spins through the air and hits the ground, also if you could have 1 - 100 for /rpthrowstrength or something like that, 1 being so slight it would be like /rpdropweapon and 100 being the force of a level one lightsaber throw.

Thats pretty interesting. Or maybe a direct throw to another player.

Huh, so like a saber throw, but it doesn't come back....interesting. I dig it.

::Throws lightsaber, presses the '1' Key turning it off:: I like that people are thinking a little outside the box and I don't want to discourage anyone from posting here, but I don't see the point of chucking your Lightsaber hilt. It might be fun for laughs to chuck it at someones head but I don't see the applications. sorry. :?

Although this wouldn't just be for lightsabers, just think of missions.

"Throw down your weapons!" ::Tosses the blaster::
"Take this, you'll need it more than me" ::Tosses blaster to _____::

etc. etc.

I get it, you mean a little more distance on the throw... could be useful if it can be worked.

Tossing weapons (not sabers), with /rpdropweapon does send them a bit away from you, not straight down, probably 1-1.5m away from your character (if we're equating ingame distance to real distance). Where as the saber simply drops straight down.

Unfortunately you cannot drop your saber and then switch weapons, you have to pick it back up and then switch. But for guns, you do indeed drop the entire weapon.

I think what Jenny is asking for is what JA+ has, the saberthrow animation, which can be used for other weapons too. I can see its uses and stuff. If it can be done, why not?

No, she doesn't mean that, she means really being able to throw a weapon more than the standard length, instead of a simple toss or drop.

Ah right. Includes the saber throw animation anyways. That said, if you can just take the saber throw animation, as I said, and be able to do /rpdropweapon afterwards, that would work as well.
