Fury and Slow Aura

I was thinking, though it might not be very realistic, it would be good to turn the slow and fury powers colour aura to that of blue, clear or something else.

I'm not entirely sure it would work like this but I'm guessing if you were a Lightsider using a Dark Power with such a Jedi mindset and view of The Force, it wouldn't technically look like a dark power but rather a Lightside version due to the Lightside Force energy.

Thoughts? I know its easy to do, and theres probably a mod, I'm just wondering if it would be beneficial for all.

I agree with this, and would expand this to giving use to the forceSide option of RPMod. If possible, it'd be nice for Force powers to be altered in appearance and function depending on the allegiance of a Force user.

Well, to that, lightning's blue in both versions, though I get the idea and like it, but it might get confusing.

I happen to support this. BUT! What about the cases where there's a Dark Jedi or the likes and they use that. Surely, they wouldn't have a blue sparking aura. Perhaps we should just eliminate the effect all together.

This is why it would be good to implement something along the lines of what Jamus just posted, utilising the Force side capacity of the game to define different effects for powers.

Could always try editing the Protect/Absorb as well? Though it might cause some confusion.

I'd support it under that stipulation. Remember, RPMod is supposed to be tailorable for role-playing, not just Light-Side role-playing.

I have to say the nay-no to the blue aura, thats just *ewww*. But *yea* taking off the aura, and leaving the sound of it would be just fine.

I like the idea of having both sides of the force available like Jamus's idea in relation to how it 'looks'.

The Slow and Fury colour would be in for a change as stated but also the damaging side of the Hold ability, could be in for a change? Rather than a read hand a lesser 'Dark' colour.

As for Storm, I heard people talking about 'Emerald Lightening' being the Jedi version of Storm. Now am not entirely for the concept but I think throwing in a hint of green or something 'emerald' like could look nice and different for a Jedi using Storm. Though, I wouldn't be too concerned if most people wanted it as it is, just a suggestion while on this topic.

Anyways, I give this suggestion my support.

It makes me laff.

In the movies, I always saw lightning as being more purple than blue, particularly in RotJ. I personally think the 'white with a touch of blue' is a neutral enough color, unless anyone has a better suggestion for a neutral color.

I don't get it.. Blue lightning.. Green lightning.. the end result is the same. Everything becomes a marshmallow. I don't understand how this ability can be construed as 'good' anyway. Personally, I say leave it or change its base colour if you want a change. I don't see the point in variations but that's just me.
