Addition to Storm

Before you all go: OMGNOWAI, please read.
For those of us who're using storm usefully ICly (at least me...Can't vouch for others) such as shocking droids and putting people unconscious, find it hard to RP like so without binds, etc. In mb2, there's an effect that, once stormed, a person will becoming paralyzed and they won't be able to shoot their weapons. Is there a way to get this implented into RPMod? It'd help from the blaster spam when storming.
Questions, thoughts, concerns?

Makes sense, I like it.

Do not agree.

If the effect lasts for maybe a few seconds. I've been electrocuted many times in RL and if it doesn't knock you out, it just makes you tense up for a bit, until the charge passes.

I would say that with each level, perhaps get stunned for more time, or something like that. So, level one, a three seconds, or whatever. Something along those lines I could support. As long as it's not too long or that sort of thing, I'm for this suggestion.

It doesn't "take you out" or anything, it simple disables you from firing a weapon.

Adding to what Atrux said, when you are shocked with great amounts of amps moving through you, it tightens your muscles in atrophy which does infact slow you down quite a bit BUT, it would actually tighten your grip to hold down the trigger tighter.
Regarding blaster spam, that’s something that could easily be corrected by rp’ing to normal regulations *pew pew* right?

That I can go with, but the effect would have to me very minimal. We're talking .5 seconds or less per rank.

Saying "just RP" is easier than executing it, especially when things are in the heat of action.
I see an issue with a lack of balance to it. Being able to sustain Storm for 3-10 seconds would make the notion of stun unbalanced in one regard, but on the other hand I understand what you're saying, Will.
Presently, I agree with both side of the suggestion. I would think some sort of alternative to both would be beneficial. Though tentatively, I'll have to go with an "ain't broke..." mentality.

Any amount of electricity that would not allow you to fire a weapon, wouldn't allow you to run around or even walk for that matter. Don't we have a knockdown animation?
I would suggest adding the animation from SP that kinda shakes your whole body, before you die. That with like an added micro-second would be fine, I think. I would Support THAT.

It would be quite a significant change in the game mechanics, which is something that RPmod explicitly tried to avoid as long as I have read.

It would be possible since MB2 did it, I like the idea, though each level should get more knockdown time, but i don't think it should be too long.

...It's not as complicated as you alll are making it sound, lol. I'll get a video of it momentarily.

The 'stunning effect' of the varient of Storm you refer to was actually intended as one of the possible uses of 'Slow' (which presently functions like drain)... at least, that's what I vaguely remember (I may have just imagined that lol)
While a stunning capability could benefit Force users I don't really "like" the idea of preventing an opponent from being able to return fire.
I had a similar idea to this a while back though when I was considering the possibilities of Force vs Saber locks where a high level of storm could knock an opponents saber out of their hand for a moment if their level of storm were higher than say, the opponents saber defence or absorbtion.

The point of it is so, if I storm X trooper, he'll be disabled for like...1-2 seconds, nothing more. I'm not saying "SPAMSPAMSPAM" storm. All it'd require is a simple jolt to hinder your opponent briefly.
