First, he pushes Obi-Wan down, not Anakin :P
Second, what about when they used Push in Episode 2 and Episode 3, there is no real sound to it.

In the end, does it really matter whether there are sounds or not? Lol, if you're that desperate, just do it yourself, not difficult.

Olim Adasca wrote:*Ehm* Telekinesis does indeed produce a sound, it's a low-frequency effect imitating a heavy thud of sorts. This can, among other things, be seen in the duel of the fates when Darth Maul pushes down Anakin. And truth be told, protect may very well produce a sound as well, considering it's a barrier of energy that is suddenly generated.
Yes, I recall that sound. Would you like me to reproduce it? I could use this for 'hold' 'push' and 'pull'. I'll add a nice Crescendo to the hold ability too :) I think this would make it more effective.. Interesting. It may take me a while to recreate the sound. But, if worse comes to worse I could always 'sound-source' it. However, it could possibly be worse if I sourced it other than re-created it as I can easily edit something I have created. The heavy thud is usually the result of a wind impact, so I'll use my recording studio at my college to see what I can make. If I can't find anything suitable, I'll use my synth. As for the absorb/protect/sense/mind trick etc. - perhaps nothing? Of course these sounds will be optional. Furthermore, the new force pull/push/hold could be introduced to the original because I think that would be more effective.

Regardless of sound edits, in the end, this comes to RP and how the person wants to react. I don't mind leaving push/pull sounds, as having mute sounds would, as Vantus puts it, make it seem less powerful.

For mind trick, especifically, I instinctively turn around and see if I find something, dunno why. After one second, though, I come back to RP and keep doing whatever I was doing. "Nothing happened". But there is one thing that takes my curiosity. Levels 4 and 5 of Mind trick *do* remove the sound. So... is the sound actually meant to be heard? Let's come to a concensus there, is you ask me.

About lowering/changing protect/absorb/etc, I don't really mind, but either way it's not harmful.

I've been doing a little research on sounds and I came across an entire moodboard filled with Star Wars sounds and characters without annoying music in the background etc. which may prove very useful! Check this out:

And you can select a theme; using the small theme box or whatever it is: example: Lightsaber sounds:

This is something I created using various 'wind' sounds. I upped the bass, added a fade in to create that stronger force sound. This is just a beta, so nothing special - I will make several edits. But, this is what I have so far. I may make the fade in more sudden and make the sound oscillate, a change of dynamic. I am trying to get it as close to the original sound, but also make it suitable for the game itself. As for push/pull, I will take parts of this sound.

What are your thoughts?

p.s. as for absorb, I may use the same sound... To introduce that the force is surrounding you or something. I don't know yet.. Again, thoughts?

That soundboard has been existing for quite a while already. ;) It gets expanded every now and then.

As for the sound, I feel it is rather... too... bassy? Maybe give it a slightly higher pitch or add a second channel that handles a +3-6 higher level pitch, lower volume, so that both sound at the same time? It could prove a nice effect (or in my head, at least. Haven't tried it, ofc :P) I'm just giving my own opinion here. Find it too bassy. :)

Yes, I did add quite a bit of bass boost to create that powerful surge of force energy. I will increase the pitch slightly, and perhaps adjust the volume. I have created a force push and pull sound as well.

Evidence that people's taste are always different. Difficult to reach a universal sound that appeals to everyone.

(Force Push + Pull.)

I have tried to equal the amount of bass/treble so that it may appear more effective for any sound system.
