/rpcointoss or /rpdice

Okay, I admit it, I'm guilty. So is everyone else, too. We all godmod from time to time. The biggest issue here is really when we /me something that affects another person, we are at that person's mercy as to whether they dispute it or not.

One time during a mission after I modded like a god, Simus told me he's gonna bring his d20 to my next mission, and then I realized >:0

We could use a feature that is like a heads/tails or /dice scenario, so that things that have the possibility to happen (or not) get the chance to *fairly*.

I'd prefer rpdice personally, because the more difficult it is you could go /rpdice 10000 so that they roll out of 10000, etc etc.

Hm, to be honest the idea behind this concept is nice.
I see where you're wanting to go, and if I remember anything then I'm sure I know which aspect you were speaking about with the Godmoding.
Either way.. the idea is sound, and I personally don't think it would be too hard to implement.

Just need to get it where the server will bring up a random number. That's probably the hardest part..

I don't mind the idea of /dice or /random.. could have its uses.

As for godmodding.. don't, simple as that. If I catch anyone godmodding I'll /rpslapupsideyourhead.

Also you can get around godmodding by how you word it.

Example: Sai ::smacks baelin upside the head

Baelin has no choice but to say ouch that hurts.

Then there is: Sai: ::attempts to smack baelin upside the head::

Baelin can either say ouch, evade, or counter. And it leaves the outcome more open

It's the same with me, attempt/try is better for actions that can have more than one outcome.

That's not, 'getting around' godmodding, that's called proper RP :D

Regardless of what we call it, I think we all agree that When there is an action involving two individuals, be it mission director-mission member, student-student, etc

It is much more preferable to have these things be solved on an unbiased level.

If I'm going to do something to another player that can/will affect that player in a more serious way, I simply clear it with them before hand. Pretty simple.

Thats an awesome idea but instead of trying to "fix" god modding cant we just make sure every knows how to properly role play? it is another thing hopefuls have to learn anyway.

Good luck with that.

thank you, I rp by what I have found on the forums and by the example given by the JEDI masters and Knights if that works for other hopefuls. I dont see any problems lest the JEDI masters and Knights dont rp correctly though I am sure by the time you get to that rank you would know how to rp.

::Sebastin stares him down, pulling out his own d20 dice::

Can't see how that works, I thought you needed eyes to stare at someone hehe!

I like the idea of having something like this, you type /rptosscoin or /rpdicerole and a message appears in chat thats visible to those that are close enough, randomly generated to as a result, the coin toss I could understand might be easy to do cos it;s 50:50 but the diceroll may take a bit of work for it to work properly.

Either way: /support

No, the effort it would take to create this system and implement it is far too much to be worthwhile, when it's so easily done with some common sense in your roleplay.

Depending on what the person is trying to do to you, just go along with it once but speak to them so it doesn't happen again, or simply ignore him and explain why.

We promote having quality RP, so a system like this shouldn't even be necessary. If people fail to understand that godmodding doesn't fly around here and insist on doing so, especially as a member, then they should reconsider what they are out to get here.

In some situations it's 'ok', whether its agreed on before or just for the sake of the continuation of a mission, other than that people should be corrected. If they continue to do so, there will be consequences.

The problem is that some people think they're tough stuff when they isn't. For instance, if Rash emotes trying to wrestle me into a headlock

Guess what?

I'm in an effing headlock. If Serris tries it? He's gettin' tossed.

So you have to understand your characters relative limits. I'm not going to get mind tricked by any of you fools, but I am not going to use excessively ornate saber flourishes, either.
