Actually, I think the backgrounds should be blurred, whereas the characters, who are main focus of the image, should be more sharp.

I decided to do something for the hopefuls of ::JEDI::, I realize officially we have not yet been initiated into the Order but I felt it would be a nice thing to do for the people that have been trying out. Sometimes even the lil' guys need recognition and this one goes out too the younglings out there. Myself included. It's not much but it's somethin'.

Looks really good! Only thing I think I'd have an issue with is the kid in the right, who has a floating holocron(?). Besides that, I think the image looks amazing!

The unfortunate thing regarding hopefuls and their inclusion for these things is that many of their skins lack originality. Obviously, we encourage the use of the youngling skin pack until Initiation for numerous reasons which there's no point in listing here. That said! My suggestion would then be perhaps adding names to the wallpaper somewhere? Whether as if they were scolling past in the background semi-transparent at different sizes or whatever approach you fancy. =)

The other thing (and this is just nitpicking really) is the holocron. Discounting hopefuls having holocrons to interact with in the first place - the one in particular you chose is a pyramid. As I said, this is purely me nitpicking, but Jedi holocrons are usually cubical, whilst Sith holocrons usually take the shape of pyramids. ^_^

To make it more interesting, how about spreading out the hopefuls on the image? Kids are lively, after all. Maybe have one peering upside down from the image, one creeping out from the side, two maybe interacting with each other. My last suggestion is simply the resolution. Make it bigger!

All in all, not bad! I'd be curious to see what else you can do!

Just a thought if you'd like to try something different along the same lines - but if the hopefuls included in the wallpaper know what models they're going to be using (skinned yet or not!), then perhaps you could show the hopefuls as they are now, with their shadows being those of the people they will beome. Like this one below! Only not as depressing.



EDIT: And another thought for a different idea! How about a shot of the hopefuls at the top of the lift outside the Council chambers? You can have them lining up orderly or standing around in various waiting poses with the Council room doors open and Sai standing out, inviting the next person in. THen in the background you can have (depending upon how many seats you can view from outside) Soh, Aayla and Sebastin.

Just for me personally, I don't see the holocron as a big deal. It's a wallpaper, not an IC group photo. He could of given them all light sabers and I wouldn't care cause it still looks amazing, great job Kieran

I agree with Kih on the names thing. Unfortunately I can't tell who is who, but that's not really important, I guess, since I think this was made for hopefuls who WOULD recognize each other.

ADDITION: Ooo Nice idea, Kih. I'd love to see that done by someone

Maybe if you guys tried, you could do a piece of art to convey the suggestions that really mattered to you. You art poopers. lol

Lol the holocron isn't an issue. I was just pointing out that it was in fact a Sith holocron. Given what kind of images those things put out it's disturbing to be in the hands of a child.
