    • The Talz were in possession of an artifact clearly imbued with the Dark Side of the Force. They claimed they had been under its influence for centuries. This artifact was destroyed as a condition for securing peace between the tribes.

    • The Talz of the Ina Dobe Tribe engaged in some form of occult worship. Religion is not uncommon among the Talz, but I have never seen or heard of Talz becoming thralls to something so dark and sinister. To hear the testimony of Vil-Gin, the Elder of the Ina Dobe tribe sacrificed several other members to resurrect a previously dead individual.
    • The artifact seemed to try to prevent us from undertaking this expedition at all. The storm became unnaturally strong upon our arrival and it seemed to try to get us lost in the wastes. When we came to it, we became the focal point of every predator in the region. Master Helios graciously offered to carry the burden of the artifact during the expedition.
    • The Expedition Team showed incredible restraint throughout the peacekeeping mission. Given that the Talz openly performed dark rituals in front of us it's no wonder that there was internal debate amongst the Expedition Team about how feasible it was to be open about the artifact when it seemed they had developed a dependence to it.

Potential: Some previous incident, either real or fabricated, led these Talz to believe that Jedi were cheats and liars. Since it was not conducive to the peacekeeping mission, it was not explored further. Also, the sister tribe of Talz also had a force-imbued artifact. Though, the other didn't seem tainted by any dark influence at all. Whether these two artifacts were part of some greater whole or came into the possession of these people independently is a mystery.

    In my opinion..

I believe the Force led us to these Talz. They had languished under the cruel seduction of a Dark Artifact for centuries. It is not in the nature of Talz to to be so cruel. My people have known the Talz for centuries as gentle and kind. I immediately believed that we would have to show them the strength to overcome that which had overtaken them. Their decision was a difficult one. But because we were devoted to the truth, to honesty, to faith in the Force, they saw through whatever misbegotten conceptions they had of the Order and saw us not as cheats and liars but of a second chance. They showed vulnerability. They accepted the end of something and the beginning of something else. Master Thorne showed great restraint in not lifting a hand to harm the Talz even as he was taken into their custody. Padawan Itesak handled herself well against fury-crazed predators of tremendous proportions. And Master Helios committed to our expedition both his skill in the Force and his experience with these unsavory baubles and the effects they have on people. Because of the actions of this expedition, no unnecessary violence came to these Talz. They have recognized us as allies, and given us an artifact to help us learn of their history and to commemorate our new ties. Let this successful operation be a reminder that not everything in the Galaxy is doomed to fail. That there is still light to be found, and people willing to make hard decision to do the right thing.

    My recommendations are as follows...
    • Periodically check in with the Talz to ensure they are acclimating and foster a positive relationship between the Order and these locals.
    • Consider Alzoc III as a tertiary target for force-attuned artifact retrieval and sweeps given the Order's previous presence here and mineral-rich extraction.
    • Date and study the artifact the Talz entrusted to the Expedition Team to see if any more details about either the Talz or their history can help in our own investigations or overall understanding.
