Telekinesis - Being Pushed

Post by Jamus Kevari »

Some of you who browse JK3Files may have seen this already, but I felt maybe this mod could be utilized once again to give telekinesis more of a realistic look when one is met with a strong Push, instead of simply falling down in the quick default fashion.

Just a quick suggestion; here's the link: Link

I would be nice if we could see some effect based on comparative level of the one pushing to the one resisting. So, if you're 2-3 levels higher, the person being pushed gets knocked over, while if you're just a single level higher, they get pushed backwards (as normal). If someone's using a telekinetic shove against you, it's not very likely that you'll simply stay on your feet the entire time, is it?

I like the idea of modifying the 'being pushed' animation.

While we're at it, would it be possible to modify the telekinetic powers (Push, Pull, Hold) to function absent an animation, so you could perhaps use them while standing still or sitting down? It always struck me as odd that this wasn't possible, given that the skills typically originate from a psychological directive upon the Force anyway, so the mainstay of the skill is more mental than physical. Is this possible?

I think only the most powerful force users actually managed it without moving too much. (Correct if wrong.) In the movies whenever push, pull or hold was used in whatever way you'd usually see a hand go up. Yes, there were instances where the user didnt move but it wasnt often.

A Jedi does not grasp at power. A Jedi is not a dominator, not an oppressor. To grasp for power is to abandon the ways of the Force.

Could be two different powers from the single point of push; attempt to push somebody down, the other to shove them back.
