Abdominal Region Lock

Post by Yrael Grekkis »

Something that probably passes peoples attention is the movements on the ground when someone is sitting or laying. But, when we're interacting with nature, moving objects or some part of the terrain around us, our legs and torso remain still, and our upper body allows movement to see.

What I'd like to see made possible, is a lock on the lower portion of our body and allowing a peripheral vision on the head and eye sight. So, instead of moving your entire character around in a 360 degree turn, probably narrow it down to like a 90 to 90 ratio; 180, of coarse, being able to look to side to side with a slight eyesight to our left and right. But, I don't know the mechanics to JKA so I'm not so sure this could be possible.

A good and realistic idea but I don't think it's possible.
Might be wrong but this would require model and/or animation editing.

I'm not sure if the "_humanoid" Skeleton allows for seperate bone-locking and allowing others parts to move freely without an animation edit.

It seems very possible, the 3ds Studio Biped constrained with xsi animation, would allow to do such a thing, but to implement this in the game would require coding & not just an animation. The game would have to know when to do this animation, and it would see quite a bit of work on someone's plate to do such a thing, but I see where you are going with this.

Its almost like TFU.
