1) where do I get "youngling"model"
2) How do I messagemode 3 ppl if I don't know there name. I vaguely recall typing \serverstatus to get there numbers in jk2, but doesn't seem to work in jka.
then \message 3 or message 4 etc. some of these ppl's names I have no idea how to type

The youngling model is included in the assets that'll be downloaded by RPMod.

You can access it in the character customisation menu.

As far as privately messaging people you can use the /tell command and approximate their name.

For example, my name in server is =Minoda=Darkrider=::JEDI::

You could do /tell Minoda and the message will reach me. We try to keep out of character communication to a minimum to help keep immersion, however if you need help with anything in game then don't hesitate to message someone privately.

On our server, in the console, you can type /rpstatus to get those list of numbers.

Then do /tell (number) (message) to whisper to them.

anyone else have trouble actually downloading these assets?

(of note the jedi skins download did work fine)

I use Chrome and sometimes I have that issue with the bigger content packs.

Usually I just right click the button that says Download, click Copy Link Address, and then paste it into the URL bar of a new tab on my browser. Should start the download right away.
