• Representing the Duneeden Temple's Security department, Padawans Hys and Skarr were sent to investigate rumors of Poaching in the Pelori Mountains.

• The investigation follows reports of Poaching in the Pelori Mountains. Rumors hinting at a group of hunters recklessly killing in the valley and taking trophies from local wildlife.
• Upon arriving at the provided coordinates we came upon evidence verifying local reports and rumors. This area of the valley showed signs of reckless hunting methods and its victim's remains filled the area with only trophy cuts taken from the bodies.
• We were met with immediate blasterfire from the hostile Trandoshan hunting party. With no further loss of life, we were able to disable the Trandoshan forces, destroy their weaponry, and free the last of the captured animals.
• Local authorities arrested all Trandoshan Poachers on site, and one hired human assisting as a guard for the camp. The Security department was able to recover maps and transponders that reveal this operation expands beyond our Valley alone.

Summary and Actions

Padawan Yda Hys and I were dispatched by Gatemaster Vakin Helios to represent the Security Department of the Jedi Temple of Dunedeen and investigate reports of poaching in the Pelori Mountains. Upon reaching the coordinates provided to Security, we discovered numerous animals throughout the mountain vales that had been slaughtered. The condition of the remains showed no indication that the animals had been hunted for food. Instead, their bodies appeared to have been killed for trophies. While making our way through the area and investigating the remains, we were met almost immediately with blaster fire from the poachers.

Yda and I proceeded through the valley, engaging and disabling multiple groups of hunters while destroying the weapons we encountered. The majority of the poachers were Trandoshans, with one human among them who claimed he had been hired solely to guard their camp. Their leader revealed that the hunters were operating in order to please the "Scorekeeper." During the operation, we discovered a group of wolf-like creatures being held at a camp positioned above a cave and were able to rescue them. We also recovered marked maps and transponders from the camp, which indicate that this poaching operation extends beyond a single settlement or hunting party within the Pelori Mountains.

No lives were lost during the mission. All identified poachers were successfully apprehended and turned over to the local authorities. While the immediate threat in the area was contained, the evidence recovered suggests that the operation is larger and more organized than initially believed. Further investigation into the marked locations may be necessary to determine the full extent of the operation.
