Absorption
I noticed while sparring the other day that, as we know, the absorption skill prevents/lessens the effects of grip/push/pull etc. Yet, if someone is holding you in the air, you cannot use absorbtion to break the effect. Would it be possible to change this for a future Mod update?
Perhaps in the same way mind trick and sensing works?

Yes that's what I was suggesting. It would mean my current absoption level wouldn't be as effective as it was BUT it would make the skill tree more interesting to invest in.Aslyn wrote:Only if it;s scaled to level. I could be wrong, but I think that absorb breaking grip was removed because it crashed everything??
Perhaps Soh has removed it until the guilty code can be tried, hung and quartered with it's 0's and 1's stuck on a pike for all to see...

Soh hasn't removed it so it SHOULD be an existing of RPmod and has been in it since day one... o_O

Soh actually fixed that glitch. I spent a good hour yesterday trying to recreate it.

I just tested it again with Aslyn and hold 1 and absorb 1 do not cancel each other out.

Absorb 4 can break Hold 4. And I'm pretty sure Absorb 3 can break hold 3

That's exactly why you can't use absorb while in a hold, beacuse absorb 1-3 has a animation and the power doesn't get turned on unless you do that animation.Jamus Kevari wrote:From my understanding, only Absorb 4 and 5 can break out of mid-Hold/Grip, as it has no animation associated with using the power.
