Account Creation
Thinking more along the 'public release' line of thought. Would it be possible to make account creation available to guests? (/createaccount <login> <pass>) Maybe server-side cvar that allows/disallows guest account creation. Obviously it would limit that IP address to one account (unless approved by an admin). Some people could run an 'open' RP server, while others can keep things private and 'locked' like we do.

I don't see any reason for guests to have an account. What a guest implies is that he or she stays on the server for a certain amount of time, which is often not long. When a guest decides to stay for a longer period, he or she is not considered guests any longer and is therefore eligible to request an account.
Those are just my two cents.

Currently there is no limit in the database, but there is one in the JKA server-side cache (128 accounts). It can simply be pruned when it gets close to the limit, for the time being.Z'phos wrote:I always assumed there was some sort of limit on the account database? Will this be changed as well?
In 0.5.0 there will be no limit as the cache will be written differently.
I'm not sure what you are talking about but it seems off-topic anywayAtrux Nuro wrote:When it happens can you change their HP too? kinda odd that wants you join the Jedi order your constitution is cut in half lol. I think we've discussed this before though. I don't remember what the verdict was.

When you hit level 1 (get initiated) You health points drop to 50 from the original 100. Hopefuls have 100 Health points. That's the standard for no account. If hopefuls and guests can create an account will the health points drop the same as a level 1? Hope that clears it up. I consider it a similar topic.Soh Raun wrote: I don't know what you are talking about but it seems off-topic anyway.

Yes. It is planned to use a kind of "default account" for guests, that could be configured by admins like any other account.Atrux Nuro wrote:When you hit level 1 (get initiated) You health points drop to 50 from the original 100.
