Lightsaber Recalling

Whilst playing Single Player JKA today I noticed that when one drops his lightsaber whether that's by turning it off after a saber throw or just being disarmed. You can't actually recall your saber immediately if you are in another room. In other words you have to run into view to be able to recall it.
Currently in RPmod I can drop my lightsaber hilt anywhere I want and recall it instantly from the other side of the map. I just think the SP option is more realistic so I'm offering it up as a suggestion assuming it's possible to implement.

I was wondering, are you able to pick up your lightsaber when it's been disarmed if you run/walk over it? Aside from that, sounds like a good idea.

Zeak - you technically can, but the game's natural mechanics retrieve the weapon via a Force Pull. As such, Initiates lacking that ability (and who actually care about RPing properly) will usually crouch over the lightsaber and then use the normal pull mechanism, to simulate picking it up manually. If we removed the sound from that action, it'd make it more realistic, but that's small potatoes

Ah. I'm sure I've seen it in a JKA Mod of some sort though, which made me question it.

Well, in all fairness, you can pick up most dropped weapons in Base just by walking over them (true also of the lightsaber in JK2 and of all other weapons as normal), so it's probably just a line or two of code that needs to be changed. Not an unreasonable idea there, though.
